Honestly, i think these kind of improvements are to balance PvP and PvE. I remember other major updates happened, like traders, Fame points, planes, etc, a lot of people where unhappy.
Thing is, the devs have to balance everything.
For example, if you plant stuff, Cook them, and your stamina improves, that.s a Nice. (For PvE mainly). But if you can buy that food, or energy drinks give you more stamina Boost time….
About the locks, these are too much. Maybe upgrading the older locks. For example, gold lock could be harder to pick. Or if you miss, damage would be Higher…
Or, like base building, you could only have a certain amount of dial lockers.
Or, these lockers have less combinations.
Or, if lockers are, let.s say, 50% condition, you could only do half the combinations…
That way would be a better balance between PvP and PvE.
Basically, devs have to balance stuff.

The hand abrasion are annoying I feel like that’s what im worried about all the time playing – I also notice the game is just turning into prefab bases – what was the point in making modular base building when everyone is just in prefabs – they need to focus on net code and networking and the vehicles ONLY! and maybe adding new creatures to fight n some NPCs to interacted with driving some type of lore or story within the trader system. its bizarre at this point but im not losing faith in this title. Perhaps the devs are over tired and its starting to show!
well for once RaiKit i agree with you .but why dont they fix the grenade base raiding bug ???? did you know that if you run up to a base wall and just drag a grenade from inventory and place it. it will actually stick on the wall ( it is placebale ) and then run away and shoot it. it does 250 damage to the wall …so tier 1 wall will take 1 nade to destroy and 2 nade’s for tier 2 and so on and so forth ..that shit needs to be fixed fast.
Fatigue is great
I think that on every pvp server there are 2-3 teams that can raid anyone and it has already become too easy for them and too hard for us to keep the base safe. These teams can pretty easily C4 enough to raid anyone, so my guess is that the combination lock isn’t that big of a scare for them. Thank you Ray!
In the meantime your constitution also decreases, while not moving.. its already taking like forever to level it up
Easy fix; introduce sleeping and a loading screen that fast forwards time if you’re in a safe location like your base or a building that you can put locks on doors. Otherwise you’re playing ESO 😂.

On dayz you can Crack a 3 digit combo lock on 10-15min and that’s by force cracking it. That’s not an issue but idk how much fame you lose. You should be able to cut them with a rebar cutter as irl that’s an angle grinder and two, there should be limitations like zappers is dumb, irl that would be a couple wires rigged to the couple and you could easily remove said wires. Now in general I’m not a fan of them catering to cry babies on raiding and completely destroying the pre existing system when folks, myself included have spent dozens of hours just to get decent at lock picking. It sucks to get raided sure but, this is a killer. It’s wrong.
All this resting and not moving around will deflate the STR and DEX stats people have worked so hard to build up too.

I get that devs want to make their games unique in some way, or perhaps they challenge themselves to implement more and more complicated mechanics to simulate reality or some sh*t that they can later brag about, but in the end, they lose the focus of what is most important when developing games. The fundamental premise of gaming is to have fun playing. Like everything in life, sometimes less complicated, simple mechanics are just fun. This leads me to believe what I hear all the time about early-access games being such a disappointment in the end, expecting to be bought by some bigger studio and then get forgotten.
Honestly i play Scum daily.. What i can say is the advanced lock is easy for me to pick.. They do need better locks. The raiding has gotten out of control on many servers. We had 9+ gold locks picked on our base last night when we left base for 15 min.
The fatigue isnt a problem if you eat good food in-game.
I bought this game a couple months ago and barely touch it. The loot is mainly garbage, the way you handle items and the menus are terrible, the gunplay is meh, but the one thing that drives me mad is that friggin heartbeat when you’re running around!! Just slow my character down I don’t need the heartbeat going off in my ears. Its not a terrible game but there’s much to desired. I’ll come back in a year and see where its at, until then fuck scum I’m going back to Dayz.
9 hours of looting to get a base going. Probably 4 hours of looting only found one dial lock. Members of squads raiding can take turns guessing to get through. Make them more rare but don’t get rid of them. What is stupid is 2 sets of 5 doors for 30 golds of which a lock picker blows through in an off line raid in an hour.
You all who crying about Dial Locks, remember you have C4, TNT and Grenades, and soon RPG is coming.

well, now it’s time to write applications and look for a job. Finally, a great update! Days of base building are no longer destroyed by the unemployed and children … Then you just have to look for solutions and ambush … until people open the door or just really “destroy walls” … because until now it was to raid like easy peazy …
complex game keep most of toxic palyers away, for me fair enogh furthermore it becames more intresting as long as we must prepare owerselfs to a long trip
