A bit of a dramatic vid to be honest and in my opinion is not as bad as you said.
Combination locks – this bring balance to solo players, like myself, where I do not have much time to spent time and build a good base with good walls. Now I can take over the house and protected nicely without worrying it will get pick locked by team of 5. The raiding is still there but more available for big teams against another big teams with lots of explosives etc. and now they have less advantage of a solo players.
BED ROLLS and FATIGUE – I think the idea behind the bed roll is that when you logged off you gain stamina faster and when you back at the game the next day you are good to go. I do not think it like you described running and laying down constantly, unless you play 4-8h a day everyday. However, I think fatigue should be slowed down a little and balanced more for ppl that play long hours but for average joe like myself when I play 1 -2h a day max, I do not see tat as an issue, but another fun aspect to think of. Do not forget that you can counter fatigue by drinking coffee and energy drinks, also new cooking system coming soon, which I think will help on how to counter fatigue.
I agree!! One word for that is ridiculous! The pipe bombs already ruined so much.. too easy to make and people are not lockpicking anymore.. so base building is die’ng in scum already .. building base weeks to months and then raider just runs through it with max one hour. Sad
private servers can turn the fatigue system off …i did cause im not playing sleeping simulator
LMFAO we are game testers we are the mugs
Theyre going to add bolt cutters. Not sure why they didnt come in at the same time… but its the Scum devs we’re talking about.
Would also be cool if the dial locks wouldn’t disappear after you „picked“ them for pve or trading purposes
All I can say is, just like every patch they go too far to test it that way, then they scale it back. We’ll see what happens. *I like the fog, although I feel it’s either too much or too little. I’d love a heavier fog situation randomly little villages instead of the entire city. In the city, I think clouds of Black Smoke would make more sense, coming from burning buildings or vehicles.
RK – AGREED thank you for saying!!
I Love dial locks concept. Tired of those pesky raiders. It was imposible to play solo/duo against 10 men squad. Maybe it needs a little bit of adjustment. But breaking 20 golden locks in 10 min is not fun. I suggest devs shuold limit numer of dial locks (for example 3 + 1car per a flag), remove interection with lock protection, or make lock extreamly rare. But over all i love dial locks. <3
“COMBINATION LOCKS – A complete punch in the face to raiders” yes, it is time they get this punch in the face. Never forget this is really not a raiding game. It is first of all a survival game not a BR PVP raiding fest. Survival is surviving the weather elements, sickness, diseases, starvation, finding clean water, warm clothes, staying healthy to survive, and yes surviving other players but you shouldn’t have to survive raiding 24/7. Like I wrote on discord the big difference between raiding is – are you raiding because there might be crucial items for your own survival inside that base? Or are you raiding only for the hell of it and because you have a lack of imagination to play a survival game? Raiding should also take time, planning, stalking and also in the end – raiding shouldn’t be something of a entitlement or “I bought this game therefore I MUST BE ABLE TO RAID” ..no. Should you find a base it should only be a possibility, achance that you might be able to raid it not a certainty. This game has been focused (by players) on raiding for the longest time. It is time to focus on the thing this game was meant to be from the beginning: survival. I will end this by quoting what one of the developers wrote as a reply on steam a few years ago:
“SCUM was never meant to be a shotfest game. Like other battle royale games, SCUM is meant to be a survival game. At the release, we were aware of the lack of content thats why there were more guns around. But as we start to shift towards our primary goal some changes come with that. E.G lower gun spawn rate…”
It needs to be faster, halve the amount of fatigue gained and double the resting – fatigue loss
I literally just came back to scum…. I think im going to go away again. What a dumbass feature.
First off, great explanation of your thoughts! In my experience yesterday, Fatigue affected me almost not at all, by the time I needed to actually rest it was time for a game break; however it shouldn’t have been implemented until cigarettes and cooking was done I think. Dial locks are great, they should however limit what they can be attached to. Raiders not being able to lockpick through your base is fantastic, finally clowns will actually have to play the game and get explosives to go through a hard base. The full lockpick raiding was one of the dumbest features of this game as a player coming from other survival games with thousands of hours invested in them, and 600+ in this so far. Dumbest thing is the bedroll by far
Thank god I’m sick of getting raided
I loved the atmosphere of Samobor. That “nature is taking back its land”-atmosphere. The fog destroys it. I don’t like it
GREAT FOR PVE!!!!!!!
This uptade is just dumb as you said.
Too much paint on the canvas.
Bro, I didn’t think I’d ever see you put a video out like this. I appreciate you being direct and addressing this. Def earned some respect from me for this. Definitely…DUMB DECISIONS on the devs part.
As someone who’s played SCUM in small bouts every once in a while, the two changes of random hand abrasions happening even through tactical gloves as well as this new fatigue system (at least that system is optional) are really dissuading me from wanting to return to the game. If I am wearing TACTICAL GLOVES that are meant to PROTECT my hands from stuff, then there is zero reason for me to be getting abrasions THROUGH them while doing things. While I do appreciate having fatigue systems to keep people from constantly grinding too hard to get too far ahead of others, I feel that the way they implemented it definitely needs to be tweaked to keep players actually playing more instead of just laying on the ground staring at the sky like they’re contemplating their life choices
