my biggest mistake in my first playthrough was focusing only on building a massive and sturdy base, only to get overrun by mutants and not having great weapons to defend said base… u have to find the right balance of exploring and building your base at the same time.

There is fish in the ocean that you can spear fish just walk in waist deep water and you will find fish

you can spear fish in the ocean, i find more fish there. i’ve only seen 1 inland location that has fish and thats the mountain spawn point

PLS NO RESPONSES ABOUT EARLY ACCESS, i know its early access, but still the game is really short and mediocre.
people have completed the game in 3 h…. you don’t even need to build a base… just run around get the items from all the caves shown on your map .. then get to the other places shown on the map and boom the game is done….

Even the base building is really mediocre and the goddamn companion AI is stupid.

Aside from that the games melee combat is really clunky and bad in my opinion. Its like Oblivion 4 or some shit like that but we are in 2023

Why every game that is in first person, why is that there melee combat always sucks???? Make it is 3-rd person then.

the character also has no mobility unlike enemy, who can jump attack forward, evade roll to the sides and backwards. While you cant do any of those things.

Hope they add optional settings for seasonal duration – or someone mods it in. Id much profer winter lasted more like say 20 days.

I mean really, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. if there’s no compass the players can just decide to look to the sky and make our own orientation.

Id like it – if when you break down a stump it drops some “firewood” that you can use to burn on fires to make them hotter/or bonfires… yes I know sticks are the thing for fires…. but I keep imagining that my wood cabin would look extra woodsy with a wood pile beside it lol.

I have not got the game as yet – but played the first one (The Forest). Been watching people play the new one and getting some good ideas for what I want to do when I get it. Does anyone know if you can build a “Fireplace” in your cabins or can you only do fires outside on the ground?

i gotta say it, i hope they improve by alot, atm there is no negative effects of dying or thirst hunger and sleep you can literally stay hungry and thirsty the whole playthrough and you will not die. i mean i was expecting a little bit of a challange xD. the building on the other hand is amazing and i love it

Yeah, seem the character got brain damage, can’t even align the mask eye holes. What’s the point of making the interaction so dumb ?
