Respawn has been digging themselves further and further into a hole with all these problems and they keep trying to add more content and do more things. There’s already so much on the table we don’t need more. Fix what we have and then add more things cuz then we get even more problems, and the current ones don’t get fixed.

Also unpopular opinion… I don’t think sbmm is broken I don’t think my pubs or ranked is too sweaty and I’m happy about the ring hurting more … I feel like almost every change this season is good lol

What’s funny is everyone is complaining about matchmaking but you have two different groups. One group which is the casuals are complaining about coming up against sweats. And you have the sweats that are complaining about coming up against other sweats 😵‍💫😅.

Cheaters get to come back, but if I get teamed up with people that do 20 damage, die, then talk shit to me for using my brain and playing cover. Then when I tell them they’re brain dead f****ards my 2500 hr account with an heirloom gets perma banned. Game’s a joke

Demotion in Ranked alienates players back to Pubs. The lobbies are not filling up with the right players so the system just tosses everyone at any game.

I have been talking about broken matchmaking for 3 seasons now. Imma break the news to you guys. EA DOESNT FUCKING CARE. They see money from skins and cosmetics and that’s all they care about. All of their competitive games all have broken matchmaking and don’t work. They won’t fix this and we can’t do anything about it. Arena has had this matchmaking issue for 5 seasons. And no matter what we say or what we do they don’t care. Just give up guys. Nothing we do is gonna change the fact that ea is a money hog and they have respawn under their thumb.

If you think about it what ruined the matchmaking was season 13 ranked lowering 6 divisions instead of 4, when season 13 launched, it was more competitive because pros were complaining the game was easy and they couldn’t admit they are good at the game, so basically respawn lowered the divisions to 6 from 4, so basically preds were in platinum lobbies, masters in Gold, diamonds in Silver, that was the problem, because of it, people played more pubs and that ruined the matchmaking, now respawn lowered the divisions to 6 again, so that’s why it’s terrible

Edit: basically it’s the pros desire for ranked to be more competitive that matchmaking sucks

Once you just accept that the player base are a bunch of crying ass kids and can’t make up their minds, it’s not bad.

people complained that the style would be like ALGS and that they didn’t want it, so they removed the cap. Now ya’ll are complaining that it’s not ALGS. LMAO

But the matchmaking is bad

the ring time is great but the damage idk im mixed cuz for one it no longer allows your random teams to run back into the storm to fight, nor will teams run after you in the storm but on the downside teams will wait for you if they know your in the storm your basically free kils

About matchmaking, I played pubs yesterday got a 200k+ kill player, whos name i recognized from leaderboards, on my team, there where tons of high ranks in the lobby. 2 games later champ squad was lvl 30s my team was trash, I look behind me and im the only diamond trail in the sky. For me when reading negative comments about sbmm, I always wonder how are there that many 3 stack masters that they can outnumber and fill all the casual players lobbies? Sometimes it feels like people want me to believe that 9 out of 10 of their games the lobby is made up of 80% pred master, while the player is just a gold. But statisticaly masters+ cant make up more than 10% of the whole player base, and gold is probably is higher like over 20% (im guessing on % but there have to be at least double the amount of just golds as masters and preds) I just think to myself “Where are all these masters coming from?” I don’t get lobbies like that, not very often at least. I think I sneak into those high rank lobbies somtimes by having big games or streaks in the lower mmr.

I like the idea of a game that encourages me to improve instead of giving me noob after noob to smash, ruin their time, and making me believe “I’m good enough its easy now, why get better” … I like the idea of bad players being protected and the sweaty streamers having to play in sweaty lobby like themselves. I don’t want to watch Timmy drop 20s every game, put him with Lulu, Noko, Acue and, the other pub smashers, let him lose a few. Give the rest of the community a chance to improve by not having their game ended anytime they run into one of thes pub pros. If you let evert lobby fill random the master+ will not play eachother as often because they make up a smaller amount of the player base, and they will win more than their fair share. The game will be dominate or be dominated because the random skill gaps will be massive. The progress of the dominated will be stalled and the dominators skill will continue to raise. You will have people who go I can never win, and people who go to easy, and both will quit. Real life example: the Apex mobile right now my winrate was somthing in the 90s durring beta and after release its something like 70, my k/d is in the double digits, however i don’t play the mobile anymore because it’s to easy, it’s not fun to go around feeling like God mode for very long. In the main game I’m at like 1.3 k/d sometimes make it to diamond cause I solo q, win rate like 5%. Main game is way harder for me….. its also way more fun!!!
