personally dont really care for the ring changes too much but ive only played pubs this season. it honestly felt even better for me since it shortens the games. with ppl complaining about it its probably an issue in ranked on the smaller maps especially though. should be hotfixed (in reality they will probably change it next season)

matchmaking is the same as ever. i dont think it changed at all this season, its been dreadful ever since they introduced what they call a skill based matchmaking. a real sbmm doesnt actually exist in this game though, i would bet loads of money on that. they just force you to lose a lot of games in a row by putting you into games with players way too good just to then put you into a really terrible lobby so that you also win a game and encourage you to keep playing -> cycle starts all over and every player regardless of skill level wins pretty much the same amount

the fact you can still get matched with 3 stacks while solo queuing is just a whole new level of madness. its such an obvious fix too, just unreal it hasnt happened.

In pubs I only play duos. I’m level 490 any only got to plat 4 once. This season has started better in sbmm. I much prefer a level 80 teammate than a 500+ 4k 20 kill teammate who just insta quits after hot dropping. Also less full pred master teams which is nice. I feel like it might be because I’ve been able to keep my kd above 1 so far but.

AS for the matchmaking – it’s very uneven now. Once you play like the old times, balanced games with people on your skill level. And a match later, you still get submitted to a sweaty Master/Predator champion’s lobby with all the Murder Badges in place and 1234567 kills. They did touch something in mechanics of matchmaking, but it’s half-working from what I experience. 4:02 – seriously you have no keybind for survival items ?
As for ring – yes, fighting ring more than people. When you miraculously run out of ring without dying, you run into some other team that kills you easily after the ring damage.

Seriously, idk why anybody would want the game to be easy ever? Like the game is boring if you’re playing against bots. But ig if you’re a content creator bots make for better content but again we can’t sacrifice the whole game for .001% of the player base. Get better or quit 🤷🏽‍♂️

I can’t play Apex anymore. And I’m not being dramatic. I just can’t play ranked with randoms when the entry costs and scoring punishes you so severely for a bad round. And pubs is boring. I played one game last night after two months and it’s just not fun anymore.

My Matches:

First 10 matches.
Myself (Diamond)/ Silver/Gold TM
Matched against:
Diamond/Diamond or Diamond/Platinum
1-5 Kills, die late.

IF I get more kills than 3 in any of those matches my matchmaking moves to:

Myself (Diamond) / Master/Pred TM
Matched against:
Master/Pred or Master/Master
0-3 Kills, die early.

IF I have consistent losses in these games with 0 kills and early deaths I move to:

Myself (Diamond) / Silver TM or below
Matched against:
Platinum or below/ Silver or below
3-15 Kills

In these matches ^ of which I receive 1 before starting the whole cycle again, my KD will basically get reset back to what it was originally before I was fucked over by the matchmaking the last 15 matches.

So I’ll start with 1.8KD, drop to 1.6 and go back to 1.8 within 20 games. And win 1 or 2.

Why do we have these stupid ring chases in worlds edge and kings canyon 💀 games are very slow on storm point so why not add it only to storm point. Also why are people saying “it’s because people camp in zone” when that’s what the heat shield was implemented for, blame the creators not the players

I feel like ive died to the storm more this season than players. I never have loot, I never have enough meds.. its not a big deal in pubs, but in ranked its super frustrating.

Lmao I would comment all the time about how shitty this game was back in season 4,5,6. I would break down sbmm in your comments and your fans would FLAME AND SHIT TALK ME. 10 seasons later. Everything I ever said happened. An now my complaints about this game are shared. Its funny to me. You streamers have the platform and waited until the game was literally in the worse space to bring these issues into light. I would constantly share how sbmm doesn’t effect the premade lobby now everything crying about the 3 stacks having easier games because they don’t get sbmm. BCUZ THEY FILL THEIR LOBBY WITH GOOD PLAYERS BEFORE QUEING UP.

Im a gold, not that good at the game. Every time i win a game, im immediately in pred lobbies for the next 3 weeks, this has been constant since season 9 for me.

We been complaining about matchmaking for years they know they just don’t care it’s been obvious for years it’s like audio I heard a lot of streamers complain about the matchmaking even before season 14 started the reason why a lot of people stop complaining including me is that respawn really just doesn’t care

And if your fans still don’t know. Sbmm works like this, if your a good player, it skill base match makes your Lobby by putting two weaker players into your lobby (aka Team/squad) so that you have a higher chance of losing the game and playing another match for a win. IF you don’t want to be sbmm you simply fill your lobby before QUEING up. The game needs a match making system for Premade Lobbies. Not for solo queing good players. It’s season 14 now not season 1. the matchmaking system they designed was for the early life of the game when everyone was bad and 1 player. Could kill one third of the lobby. No one but the best players are dropping 20bombs now. BCUZ more players are getting kills. Rank needs to be Solo only. If they make rank a solo queing experience only. Ranked would be fun and challenging for all players even pros. It would mirror ALGs except for 1 view point being ALGs would actually have the set organization Teams, while ranked would give you random squadmates to play with, just like the supposed apex game lore. This game could easily be improved. Respawn and EA are just cheap and lazy. An let the community rule the game more. Whatever the community cries about they listen to. when the community should be forced to adapt to developers choice. The game should be competitive like how they described it to be pre release.
