Sbmm is completely broken when I play with friends. So if I play well in respawns eyes and my team is getting shit on, we all have to suffer. Got it

The extra dmg on the storm is fine the speed and reduced time for that closure is not but now there are leeches farming the ring edge mostly because they are incapable of fair fights, so instead they use what ever advantage they can get due to their lack of skill. I mean yeah it’s just 1 strategy to use against opponents but when there are 3-5 teams left at round 2 it’s quite pathetic. There are very few actual gun fights where 2 squads trade shots on eachother and 0 end game matches. I’ve probably only seen 1 match where it went beyond round 4.

The sbmm is unrealistic, as silver players should not be fighting anyone but silver players and so on throughout the rank ladder. Not masters and Preds or plats or gold’s… There needs to be a complete overhaul of the system, the current system like others have stated is worse than last season and there were Preds in gold lobbies last season… I’m all for working on getting better and I’m aware that in some cases you need to test your current level against those above you to see what you need to work on but it’s a little ridiculous. The pub matches are indeed ranked 2.0, 3 stacks of masters n Preds mowing down lobbies to show off to their friends or to cut videos for their twitch pages? For all the money respawn and EA has syphoned from the community you would think that they could afford to utilize some logic. Otherwise it all looks like they are soley focused on profits and not quality.

Literally I am level 150 something. I introduced a friend to Apex. He’s now level 30 ish. He introduced his friend. Now level 11. We all grouped together 3 games in a row had either a masters or a PREDATOR how the hell are these guys who are brand new suppose to enjoy the game. How am I supposed to want to play longer… I played 3 games got off. It was a terrible experience

Not even 1 week into the new season and we are already complaining about the same things we were at the end of Season 13. When are people going to realize that balance changes are not content, and Apex is startlingly devoid of actual content? We got a new Legend, that’s it, no weapon, map or otherwise. But you expect the game to not feel the same season after season? Make it make sense.

Heh.. with all I’ve just heard, I’m quite happy that no ones talking about vantage and nerfing her… I hope she doesn’t gets nerfed even though I have a feeling that they’ll wanna nerf her snipers damage on the second shot on marked targets

Fix matchmaking=easier lobbies? I’m confused. I’ll get a level 50 on my team talking big then I see his 2k badge.🤣 yall wanna fight the top level players but complain when killed by them. Imo the only separation they should include I’m sbmm is this question. Is the player solo quing? Then they go in a lobby where every player is solo Quing. Three stacking? Only 3 stack lobby. To me the biggest advantage is just having teammates in general(even if they are half decent it’s better than my randoms) but idk what the problem is that’s just my guess?

The game is getting worse and i find myself playing less because things that shouldn’t be problems are making the game less fun. Why should i have to spend less time looting so all i have entering round 2 is no meds or shield bats and ammo for my p2020 and mozam? And all while we’re being gatekept out of round 2 ring by a team with purple armors with r301s volts g7s and cars in a PUB match. Loot odds are garbage 🗑 😒 i much rather believe apex legend status numbers are fake too because how the hell are half a million players putting up with this crap for nothing to be changed?

I’m a person who’s come from Overwatch, a dead game. I’ve put 2000 hours into that game and the last few years. Coming from Overwatch where it’s been dead the entire time I have been playing it to Apex, the difference in the two games with communication from the devs are the exact same. I will legit sit here and say Overwatch is a better game than apex when it’s only gotten 2 balance patches in the last YEAR

The SBMM NEEDS to be removed and fixed to the following

Level: 1-50 stay in low level servers

Levels: 50-100 middle level servers

Levels: 100-500 average severs!!

This system will work 1000% better and if the preds and masters want in

GET THEM THEIR OWN SERVERS!!!

Day 2 player

I think the 1st iteration of SBMM happened S4. Back in S3 I played mostly pubs learning the new map. Bad 123 wins that season.

S4 something changed. It seemed I was always matched with new players and had to face 3 stacks. Switched to almost 99% ranked.

Last few seasons I think they changed something to catch Smurfs.

As the person said it really has nothing to do with your account level. It’s like a rolling metric. About 5 games.

If you don’t care about your kd test it out. Run around and don’t fire. Or miss a ton. Don’t just jump off the map.

About the 6th/7th game you get like a “free” win game.

I think they did this to protect the new player lobbies.

The game needs a steady stream of new players. Then needs to retain those players and turn them into buyers.

So Smurfs running around seal clubbing noobs breaks this model.

They want to catch a Smurf as well as badge boosters and make it pointless. You create a new account, maybe get a few games in new player lobbies then it plops you right back to high skill pubs when you start to do well.

In fact it will spike you above your normal ELO. The algo grabs you because your performance has outmatched the lobby and drops you into the highest ELO pub lobbies for a few games.

Then your performance returns to the mean and you are back in your normal ELO.

i deleted the game the other day because of the matchmaking, the last straw for me was coming up against a 70k kill horizon in my first game on in 3 weeks. my highest kills on any character is just 800. my kd? 0.6. it SHOULD be higher, but i can’t play any games in any modes because sweaty 3 stacks keep stomping me without me being able to do anything. i’m done with this game for good, and i do not regret quitting it.
