The tournament runner has a point. In the NBA, the big balls celebration isn’t allowed and is a fineable offense. Even LeBron got fined I think like 15K for it in a game vs the Pacers. Tbagging is pretty similar to that. I’m sure that if an NBA player did that after dunking on someone, they’d probably be fined or technical foul’d for that. It really isn’t sports like, especially for a paid and PROFESSIONAL tournament. Also, the runners of a private event can do whatever they want and have any rules that they want. Just like a store can refuse you for no shoes no service.

Maybe the pros need a brain for once and see that there’s nothing wrong with the gold knockdown shield, it’s the fact that it is way too common in 70% of the games. Every second game I play there’s 5 teams with golf knockdowns. They just need to decrease the spawn rate for the them.

Regarding the gold knockdown/self rez and I know I’m not qualified as a dev or whatever but how about making a red knockdown in the game don’t give it any more health than the gold one but put the self rez on the red knockdown and only make it so 1 can spawn a game this way people don’t run into full self rez teams the “hype factor” of the self rez stays in the game and it theoretically won’t impact the game negatively too much. But again, this was an idea that I (someone who is not qualified to be a game dev) came up with in like 2 minutes so feel free to tell me I sound dumb, or this wouldn’t work.

I’m confused. Why can’t that guy decide for himself what behavior is appropriate for his tournament? Just because it is ok in one tourney, doesn’t mean it is ok in another. Instead of calling people soft, can we agree that people have different sensibilities and will react differently? You may disagree, but it is his decision as far as what is ok for his event. Just my perspective, respectfully.

As for the Gold Knockdown, i’ve said it before, it shouldn’t be removed but instead should be a random find in the loot pool and should just be an add on to the knockdown shield you already have. So, if you have a purple armour you will pick it up and simply gain the ability to revive much like the self revive in COD. This would also mean that players would have to pay attention to their surroundings to check if someone has it and listen out for the characteristic sound of the res being performed. This though would also open another can of worms in terms of the audio and would require EA and Respawn to pull their fingers squarely from their behinds and actually FIX THE AUDIO!
I fear they will take the easy way out! God forbid they have to reach into their pocket books for some money eh!!!

Might be an L take, but I think the gold knockdown is fine. BR’s are rng based for loot imo, we can do stuff to limit the rng but it’s necessary. I also just like seeing crazy gold knock clutches…

Seer tells you information that Bloodhound scans don’t and it tells you that information for twice as long. Bloodhound was nerfed because you were scanned for too long. He wasn’t a problem before because the Meta’s are heavily determined by streamers, I saw more Ramparts after Aceu was playing her. It takes no skill to use Seer, that’s the problem. Imagine 8 seconds of full health/positional tracking plus 30 seconds of his Ultimate, yeah he’s a problem lol

I don’t think nerfing high skill ceiling abilities, legends, weapons, etc is the solution. Buff some of the legends that need to be brought up to par. Add the perk system from mobile to the main game. Also, I think tea bagging is a douche thing to do, but shouldn’t be bannable.

I’m not really one to care for what happens after I die in a round, but I’d say that Tbagging is excessive. If you’re doing that to a box, that means you’ve already won; if you just want a victory lap, that seems to be where the voice lines/holosprays/emotes come in, which Respawn will be able to change if public opinion does. It’s a response that can be controlled and fixed. If I had to guess where this divide comes from, its from people who’ve played shooters for a long time vs those that are more recent to the scene. Tbagging was super common in old Halo or CoD lobbies but fell out of favor, it’s really only come back recently.
