Funny because pros was the ones that made people go kill crazy for ranked around season 9-11 then now hate it because people doing what they used to do you respawn can’t win …the meta is the only thing they can really change NERF GIBBY NERF HORIZON (make you have to hold her tactical to charge for a higher height reach ) buff lifeline ( drone shock enemy’s not heal shock every other sec ) hate bang but buff her too make her smoke slow people that run through and this all of the top of my head they need too change their character mindset

All i know is when you try and polish a greedy turd… Its just going to be a shiny turd…. If you stack crap on top of crap…. Its still going to be crap. But if you fix it so it isn’t a turd….. It still will be greedy but atleast it wont be a turd. EA just needs to stay tf away from anything apex continue to fund respawn and let respawn create. Anything EA touches turns into a turd. EA is that greedy cousin your parents say to let him play with your new toy but you know he will just f it up or break it. …. Just want apex to be fun and not feel like another chore or hassle. One thing we DEFINITELY need is to get rid of these cronus using and any cheaters because i have been playing fps competitivly across multiple titles and im sorry but alot of these lobbies i get now are slap full of 50% really good players and 50% cronus users, cheaters its so obvious. And then the grown men acting like toxic children in ranked its super sad… And we have people logging into other countries to get apex coins cheaper and screw it up for people who actually live in that country. We got people doing all kinds of pathetic stuff ruining the experience for newer players or not so experienced players all for some badges to look good but yet cant back those badges up. And then EA being the greedy thieves they are and then idiots make death threats at respawn and their employees……. Its sad and pathetic. Sbmm is a problem but at the same time we got cheaters and other idiots screwing up the matchmaking. And can we normalize everyone to stop acting like pubs is a a algs tournament and if they win or not is life and death. The amount of crybabies in pubs is ridiculous.

I agree with the pros about ranked needing a change. It’s definitely just a kill race at this point. Also, can we please have zone damage back to how it was? Trying to play edge now in ranked is hard cuz of how much damage zone does.
Great video. I don’t mind the ranked system as it is, I think it suits the majority of the player base way more than just the pros. It could maybe use some fine tweaks to the ratio of kill to ranked points here and there but I think it’s in a good place for the casual to semi sweaty player. The only thing that annoys me is that as soon as I rank up to plat, the lobbies feel so different. I think the matchmaking issue that you mentioned several times does way more harm to the ranked system right now than the actual killpoints issue. Because this doesn’t jnvolve the majority of the player base.

okay I would like to explain something, maybe it will make sense.
Most games that have a ranked system, make it mimic what their Pro scene would be playing, it helps with practice and also learning how to play the game at a competitive level. Ranked should be the entry for Competitive, The old ranked system was not that, it exaggerated everyone’s perception of skill and that is why the masters ranked slowly but surely became inflated. (200k players reached masters season 12) that means there is over (200k players that can compete against the best in the world, the top 0.01%, that doesn’t make sense)
So yes, change needed to happen. season 13 was a massive overhaul, everyone that reached high ranks enjoyed it, end game fights were more chaotic, everyone was playing like there was $2m on the line. only 10k players reached masters/pred that season. 3k for the first split.
season 14 comes around, kings canyon is the least comp map there is, they turned their good system, uncapped RP and KP and put everyone on the smallest map as well as tweaked SBMM – Plats are now in pred lobbies YAY.
the game was now more difficult than ever for players that actively reached diamond and easier for players that reached masters+ no in between.
more kills = an absurd amount of RP per game, people were earning 1k+ in some cases, WHAT?!?
Plats/Golds/Diamond players find it hard to gain, meanwhile masters and preds were breaking records with RP gains and total RP at the end of the season in a “harder” ranked system.
The issues that comes to listening to a casual audience when it comes to “competitive” systems is that the majority of casuals want to have fun and have less punishment, fair enough i would to, when it comes to the pro’s they want something that is hard and feels rewarding to win.
the two sides are so split, that is why there is generally a casual playlist and a competitive playlist, both sides get their modes. This ranked system and the whole Dev’s listening to their pro players shouldn’t be an issue as it is meant to be competitive, the previous system babied everyone, you were only improving mechanically not mentally. S13 allowed you to improve at both, S14 is almost the same as S12.

Personally I never actually saw that many issues with ranked prior to S14. I think it was more of the capped points I had an issue with. But other than that I honestly thought it was fairly balanced between ensuring playing smart and playing aggressive. Now we seem to keep going back and forth between the 2 in hopes everyone will enjoy 1 of them. My issue with that is aggressively pushing fights and getting kills is pubs style whilst Ranked was always rotations and positioning. Just my opinion 🤷

I think adjusting and lowering the point multiplier for kills could help to incentivize surviving longer and maybe add like small increasing amounts of points for surviving ring phases to also push more people to survive into late game rings

I’ve said it before and I continue to be right. That is “As long as Rank has the KP-Placement Multiplier, no changes will fix the rank system”
When you have a system that encourages and makes it absolutely necessary to get kills, thereby making everyone play a certain way. It becomes painfully obvious how broken the system will be.
Really like this ranked system it rewards kills. I feel like endgames should only really be happening in plat or above and when you force a system into making it happen on every rank you get problems. I also feel like pro players want to make rank the same as pro league. This would be terrible for game health some people look at rank as pubs but your teammates don’t leave while others look at it as pubs but with better matchmaking as you can directly manipulate your elo. Everyone has a different idea of what ranked is for them to listen to only a small subset of the community that will affect everyone is downright awful. I’m a former siege player and I will say that pros can and will make changes that pushes out the fun in a game.
