The biggest problem with Respawn is their stupid secrecy on things that shouldn’t be kept secret. We don’t need every detail, we just need a few details of what’s coming and we need to know what community issues have and haven’t been heard. The dev team would be seen in a much better light and 70% of the community drama could be very easily avoided if respawn wasn’t so secretive on important fixes and changes and actually delivered on their promises

I’m sorry, but I have no sympathy for Hideouts, he’s a ban hammer not a public figure. He’s paid to do his damn job, and cheating has become a major problem again. People are holding him accountable, maybe if he spent more time banning people then sucking off streamers he would be fine. He put himself in the public eye, he can take the criticism that comes with it.

Saying “we are working on stuff” is the same line we’ve been being fed for 2 years now. The idea that you mentioning a new anti cheat would make cheaters know what you’re working on is laughable.

What they need to do is take a page out of Bungie’s book and sue cheat makers for Apex Legends and charge cheat users for breaking ToS. Has it solved the problem, hell no, but is it a lot better now than it was…yes.

I think the servers are a bigger problem than the hackers. Those of us who play for fun are not having fun when the servers puke out missing players or 5 no reg shots in a row.

Best Anti-Cheat, If an account is getting 20+ kills and has 90% accuracy 20 games in a row they’re probably cheating.

Last night had constant games of insane packet loss. Wasn’t my isp, but also ran into cheaters battling it out against cheaters in diamond lobbies. I will never trust respawn when they say they have a NEW ANTICHEAT coming. That’s a fake ass statement just like everything else that respawn says haha

It’s not even the fact that he’s going after Hideouts, which he shouldn’t, it’s the fact that he’s directing his anger toward the wrong people. EA needs to hire more people in different regions to help combat the problem. Of COURSE the anti-cheat team is going to constantly be working on something new to try and combat cheaters, but you have a small department against a huge market of people making smarter and harder to detect cheats. Until EA starts putting more resources toward staff, it’s not going to get done any faster. The anti cheat team has to work with what they have. Plus Hideouts interacting with the community is literally what EVERYONE asks for and now they’re actively punishing him for it. The man gets sent death threats for being a public figure and we wonder why devs in other departments won’t talk with us anymore.

Im on console so I don’t see very many hackers but there is a glitch on console where you can’t select a legend and it’s very annoying Becuase it makes you play the last legend you played and if you want to change your legend it’s impossible

With respawn/EAs no communication policy in regards to apex, hideouts’ response to this tweet makes it all seem a bit silly, it took someone from the company feeling like they were getting blasted on twitter to get a “we’re working on it” response?

I like this game, but I’m really bad at first person shooter. I would like to keep playing the game but there are a number of problems, I keep getting placed in lobbies with high end played to where I’m little more than cannon fodder instead of like skill players as myself which makes for a very bad experience then you add the hackers, it has got to the point it is almost not worth turning the game on. I can’t count the times I have been shot thru walls or deaths to a high percentage of head shots(once by the same player 3 times in two days which was reported every time).I find it hard to believe that the makers of this game can’t control most of the hacking in the world they created, where they are god. I’m starting to wonder if the people selling the hacks are not the same people who make the game and banning the hacker would cut into their profits.
