In one hand the cheating problem is all over the FPS games, it’s probably one of the biggest problems without a real solution (even Valorant with his Anti cheat with access to kernel 0, have some problems).

In the other hand someone who publicly claims to be the ban hammer of a popular game, it gonna be also the visible face for the complains (constructive and destructive), so it’s always a bad move being public because a problem without a real solution will enrage a lot of people who are gonna complain to this publicly ban hammer.

It’s pretty much a lose lose situation

it’s classic deflection, but i agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY that Hideouts should NOT be a public figure…because it literally feels like he’s just fucking off most of the time.

HisWattson has quickly become one of my favorite Apex content creators. So glad their willing to speak out about the flaws in the system. Hideout calling him childish and trying to look like he’s the bigger man is stupid to me. Hideout has done nothing but talk about things he’s going to do. You can’t promise something and never go through with it and expect people to trust you next time.

Hire a cheater lol pay someone to surf the web and download cheats on a daily basis and turn it over to respawn. Have them get the cheats and give em up so they can combat then quickly ?? Reverse engineer em quickly?? Idk just an idea

It seems really unfair to compare Batman to Hideouts. Batman was a broken child that did bad things to bad people. Hideouts is just a dude doing the job he’s paid for; let alone trying to do it in a way that lets the community feel heard.

as someone who has worked in customer service I know it’s inevitable that you will be on the receiving end of any hate the company gets as they interact with the company through you(you are the company). This should’ve been expected the second they made themselves public figures for a company or at least the first point of contact for customers so they need to either resolve it if they can or escalate it, whatever options they have available. Yes they are people too but it’s not about them, it’s about the customers and to be honest Respawn is providing crappy service so anyone we can communicate with is gonna get that hate

Respawn isn’t the blame for this, it’s EA, they are the greedy company that own and control whatever Respawn does with Apex and EA does not support Respawn enough to make better updates to their game and Respawn can’t do anything without EA consent. HisWattson has no right to confront and bash Respawn like that, especially towards Hideouts, it doesn’t matter if he is a pro player, he doesn’t work at Respawn and neither does he know what Respawn has to go through to make these changes for apex, he’s just another pro gamer, not a developer and was being ignorant and childish and he was in no position to do something like that.
