I don’t understand what the appeal is of Apex to a casual player. Like the core mechanics, skill gap, improving is what makes the game fun for me. There’s so many other fps out there that are better for ppl who only want to hop on and play a couple of hours every other day.

About the question, Zipp: I actually think that player was just tap strafing back and forth. Easy to maintain speed with Maggie ult speed boost. But as far as configs go… I think they shouldn’t be but need to be a part of the game due to how it is developed. No one should be punished for having a high framerate such as in super gliding, but configs allow a way around that where the tech still requires skill to hit but is not harder with a higher framerate.

I don’t play competitive ranked anymore but pubs are really sweaty nowadays, my lobbies are filled with 3 stack multiple times masters or preds and it is so difficult to keep up playing with randoms, sometimes I am forced to play with at least a duo to keep up with the people on these lobbies most of the times we end up playing duo vs trios anyway lmao.

Yeah I recognize that about Apex, you really have to practice the game everyday not even just to see any success in the game but even to have fun at all. I’m a pretty laidback player with decent skill, I’ve pretty much mastered some movement tech but I’m hardly competitive. I often find myself getting heated and yell at my monitor when I play Apex a lot, especially when I take a break for weeks and come back rusty
