I never realized people actually use configs for tap strafing, I’d understand supergliding, but not tap strafing. Tap strafing is like the 2nd easiest thing you can do movement wise. With the exception of controller players

I dunno as someone who only really starting playing video games in his early 30s (something to do during covid) I realized that apex is like the FPS version of chess. If you don’t start young, expect to suck for forever. I will still watch people play when time allows cause its really like a art or sport. But don’t feel bad about quitting and finding something else to do with your time.

I don’t think that’s true I play this game only for idk 4 hours a week and i could still grind to PRED maybe because of my age and the 6k hours playing before going to the gym and concentrate on more important things then winning 1v1 tournaments for money and maybe because i get kicked out of the game every 2 game and get penaltys for 10 minutes and minus 150 points

As a more “casual” player, I’d recommended others to play ranked instead of pubs.

In pubs you’re virtually guaranteed to get ran over by triple pred stacks every other game, whereas once you get into Bronze/Silver you really only have to worry about the occasional smurf. The fights you get into feel way more fair and even in ranked, because the skill levels are more balanced.

There’s no such thing as ‘casual’ Apex in ranked or even pubs. There’s too many stakes for lots of different people. If you’re pubs, people probably care about their KD a lot or they’re grinding for future ranked games. If you’re ranked, you care about badges etcetera.

The only real ‘casual’ Apex are the LTM, where there’s no KD or rank to worry about. Where people can play the game free of punishment from teammates for bad decision making or bad gun play. That’s why a casual mode like Control is so important for the game in my opinion. Where you can play free from stress. Apex is a stressful game, not gonna cap. If you want to be better than everyone else, there’s so many things to consider every single game. I wish Apex had a permanent LTM type mode. At the moment, Apex is 100% too competitive and sweaty.
