I live in the UK, Americans have no idea how well their jobs pay, I look at junior level jobs in America and I’m like I WISH my salary was that high. Cost of living in the UK isn’t cheap as well, housing prices here are usually much higher than the US.

I have always found it weird that even people considered “poor” in America have a car, if you have a car here you’re doing pretty well (I do get the public transport is better in the UK, but it isn’t cheap, if I want to go to London, it is about $100 each way for a 2 hour train ride)

At least tell them the true intentions and be up front as to why you laid them off EA. I know it’s not required but it’s a courtesy that gives you more respect in the long run.
