Fuck me man, these new record breaking profits every year corporations need to knock these fuckin mass layoffs off. Every day you hear of more and more layoffs from gigantic companies that are doing so well they should give everyone a raise and have some new hires, not destroy their livelihoods and/or lives.

To be fair…This is probably great. The amount of bugs this game has had SINCE LAUNCH every single season is pretty fucking tragic. Even if these other countries are working for much cheaper it would be a VERY difficult task to do worse then this last group. I’m sure they’ve reported a few things that Apex hasn’t changed themselves BUT there have been MAJOR fucking bugs/issues and Respawn STILL took forever to fix them. AFTER season launch. QA testers, test BEFORE seasons go out. Which means they didn’t find the issues before the season went live. It literally took tons of reddit/twitter posts to make them aware of MAJOR issues impacting large chunks of the community. And that’s basically at least once a season.
So although they don’t FIX the bugs, I don’t think they were doing a good job finding them either. Because every SINGLE season has had major bugs. This season is even worse because whatever they did to the code has allowed hackers to take FULL fucking control. So not only have they been doing a bad job, it’s gotten worse over time. So this was probably a VERY smart play. They can hire 2x the workforce for 1/2 the price. Might be slow at first because they are all NEW and have no idea how to do their jobs yet BUT in the long term this will actually make things better honestly.

im surprised they only now got laid off given they’re QA. With the current state of the game I’m surprised they even had a QA team, but to be fair EA probably just didnt listen to them

Not sure if its going to be buggier or will be better than before. We’ve experienced a lot of bugs in the past, we have high hopes. People in outsourcing works better as they want to retain their job.
