Honestly the demotion is pretty pointless. It’s so difficult to melee people unless there’s a big skill gap, and the fact that there’s only a 33% chance of it affecting the game, and that it doesn’t promote you when it’s already a challenge. There’s no reason to do it unless you’re bored.

You can do the same thing with rampart sheila or vantage sniper (wich will 2 shot any enemy)

I don’t usually see some people changing their legend in gun game. when I’m on the sniper phase I just change to vantage when I die so that I can be accurate in my shots

What the merchant is saying isn’t necessarily true, melee kills just lower an individuals score not the team score which is why orange stayed on G7 even though he meleed the Rampart who had the scout.

Actually the secret strat is to use lifeline. Her ultimate gives you blue armor about half way through a normal round of gun run. If you are good at getting away with Bang or Wraith it is a huuuuge buff.

I’ve noticed, if you do more than half the total health to an enemy, you can do the rest with melee damage or other forms of damage and still get leveled up
