A few tips on vantage my friend:

treat the bat like pathfinder grapple with more 360 degree mobility.

Leave your bat parked/flying in a location that can serve as your escape route ahead of time, so you can just quickly look at it and get away from tricky situations. Vantage’s power in the early and mid game lies in her. Having arguably the best escape ability in the game.

Try running the longbow. Double sniper as vantage slaps. My favorite vantage combos are longbow volt and sentinel volt (if I have a gold body shield). It solves the exact issue you’re talking about— vantage’s ult takes a long time to fully charge, so one or two shots isn’t enough to be useful. But one shot from the snipers mark and one charged sentinel bodyshot or a longbow headshot is enough to down practically anyone. It makes vantage constantly lethal. Also having two sniper ammo types (ult and sniper ammo) makes it so that you will never be out of ammo. Also, sniper ammo takes up little space anyway, so they pair well with an smg. I’d stay away from shotguns tho bc you’d have limited midrange potential.

A nice team synergy I thought of is vantage loba seer. Seer makes sure the team never gets rolled up on from close range, Loba and vantage have good escape abilities, a good vantage should lock down most long range fights, and loba ult always guarantees sniper gear.

I’m sure respawn will fix the unclear tactical cooldown.
