Also Jack by the time of writing this im half way through, but I think they built the dome around the city to keep the infection in.. Only speculation, but loving this series keep up the good work.

Jim Sterling might think The Stanley Parable was every game ever made, but that description should go for this one. Stray = The Last of Us + The Stanley Parable + Uncharted + Journey + Untitled Goose (Cat) Game (the hjonkening -> the meowning). Evidence:

I watched a different game playthrough just today and Oct 11 came up again.

If I had a nickel every time the date Oct 11 was mentioned in different ways today, i’d have 2. Which is weird it happened twice.
