Short answer: yes.

However that doesnt mean he’s garbage tier or below average tier. He is top dog for a long time and his buffs made him still relevant even today. Problem is he has a lot of competition now and a couple of them actually beats him in general. He’s like Jack in the sense that they both had been number 1 for while and got carried by thier np despite being old servants. They both had great qualities(hits, np and star gain, np) but thier skills are just too old at this point to be they actual top of thier class.

Maybe his charisma can be buffed to have ignore Def buff? Or his np gain skill be buffed to generate crit stars per turn or a whole bunch of crit stars like proto Arthur. So that it would work wonders with his 3rd skill.

I think it’d probably be a decent thing to give him star gen. It’s never really bad to have. I don’t have him but I have Jack and I’ll throw BE Elegant CE on her just to crank her star gen up to 20 (she’s always at 11/10 anyways)

Well, taking all things mentioned into account, if we could expect one buff and one buff alone then I would like for it to be some kind of crit sustainability, either a 100% crit star gen or passive 10-15 stars for a few turns, for example. In my opinion he is a glass cannon that specializes in crit damage and np damage and I would like for them to stay on that path. Survivability is important as well but I feel like that is secondary to his role as a crit monster.

But both of these issues can be solved with the proper supports, and we do have amazing buster supports, so I think he is in a good place. A very basic kit but non the less effective.

talking about giving servants with no defensive options buffs, Give Karna the guts+healthregen he gets in his boss fight to his first skill so he can mirror Godjuna’s own Guts/healthregen skill

Charisma needs a second effect. Buster up, star bomb, crit up
Second skill needs a buff badly. Any of the above three
Third skill could be any of the above three
Another idea is maybe giving him np damage mod to one of his skills so like. 50% damage mod three turns against servants.
Np needs pierce everything. It’s fucking ea it destroys everything a little evade or shield shouldn’t stop it

I’d give Gil crit damage, star drop rate buff, and maybe even a star bomb, invul or Def and damage cut also could be used somewhere too. The np should remove buffs no defense should stop it it’s insane, even pierce invul would be better.

Gilg fell off ever since he couldn’t beat emiya’s plot armor in the shows 😂 Give his charisma a 3 turn self dmg mod vs servants (similar to np). Combine skill 2 & 3 and then give him a new skill with an evade.

Give him 30% party wide attack buff with self 50% crit damage, and a 20% battery on the second skill since he only has one quick card for star gen, I’d rather just have another battery

I honestly think that he works extremely well as a damage dealer, I’ve never struggled with not doing enough damage while using Gil, the only problem is that his survivability is low. Perhaps they should just give him an invil or damage reduction? That would also work lore-wise considering that there should be countless of defensive noble phantasms in his Gate of Babylon

I wouldn’t say he has fallen off but there are alternatives. It was bound to happen with how long this game is. Gil is an aoe buster with a party attack buff and a 30 np battery. But he can be swapped out with napoleon for farming and such. I love my Gil but I find myself using him less which is funny considering how much I used friends in the beginning.
