My version of what happend after: “Ginger” goes back for B-12 and is able to get him fixed by (Eddie?) With all memories retored and finds the other three cats. All robots escape into the outside world and built back the civilisations while the cats and B-12 live with Clementine in her new home that’s right next door to all the other Outsiders. Ginger and B-12 are remembered as heros and before the cats will die their existence (the soul or whatever B-12 transfered to the drone) will be transferred to little cat robots so they can live with the robots forever. Ginger and the little drone get statues made of them in the new city with Ginger having the cute little backpack and B-12 sitting cutely on his head. Every Zerk known to bot dies and the infection soon clears, allowing the robots to also return to the underground city every once and a while or just as a fieldtrip zone for robot kids to learn about their history. Everybody lives a great life, accept for Blazer and anybody else working to keep the city locked up, who are jailed until the other bots trust them again, THEN they live happy with them. No crime happens because everybody is too happy to be free after so many years to ruin it. And robot Ginger gets to keep his cute little backpack with the pins!
Ginger, B-12, Clementine, Momo, Doc, and all other outsiders I forgot the name of, the heros of bot kind!
Sorry for the long comment, I can’t let the story end with such a sad ending and the question of “Did Ginger ever find the other cats?” I hope people like my version of the ending! Such a good game needs a good ending!
Also, I love the detail that Ginger’s fur is dirty everywhere but where the backpack was when it’s taken off. That’s such great detail! Most people would either not make the cat get dirty or put the dirt all over the cat.

when i played it i cried my eyes out at the end :’)) cried again watching it ngl, i really hope they do some kind of sequel for this game that actually shows us the world and shows the cat with its family at the beginning, i really thought we would get to see the other cats again

That ending! (spoilers below)

I think that that little flicker at the end was like how b-12 was at the beginning, a ghost in the systems. I also really wish that the original pack of cats at the beginning could have somehow found the protagonist. anyways, that’s my 2 cents.

Stray 2: Finding Kitties Family… that’d be something. I was kind of disappointed that the kitty you played didn’t find her family at the end.

This game is incredible! I absolutely loved my time with it, I wish we got to see the cat reunite with it’s family but I imagine we may get to see it in a sequel if BlueTwelve decides to make one. Regardless I feel the ending was left ambiguous enough where even though we don’t get to see it you can decide for yourself what happens to the cat

My theory about this game was that the little robot with the cat was actually the cats owner, and the whole entire world with creatures and robots, I thought that was the cat imagination, because it’s owned (tiny robot) was sick and the cat new that and whatever… idk I suck at explaining 😭

The screen turning on right at the end suggests that B 12 was back in the network as he is everytime the drone shuts down and that he actually got to go outside through the computers.

Man, crazy how 99% of the game was the cat’s nightmare after falling and hitting its head. It’s cat family was with them all along, and the cyberpunk android dystopia was all a dream. 🌈😸💭💤🐾
