Quick rundown:
The world had an issue, not particularly well-described in the game so freely theorize. Due to this issue, humans built walled cities and hid in them, locking them up before they had fully developed and tested technologies to make them livable (leading to problems like the Zurks). After the cities had been closed up, walled city 99 had a plague that killed enough humans that no one survived. Whether the disease had a 100% infection and death rate or the large number of deaths led to the infrastructure for necessities going down is unknown, but I’m betting on the second one. In a last ditch effort to survive, humans put their consciousness into the original helper robots, who continued to stay in the city and thrive. Ginger and B-12 open the city, and free the robots and transferred humans from the city’s overseers. The city you play in having no humans does NOT mean that no humans are left. It just means that in that particular city, they did not survive. The large amount of greenery and the surviving small animals (birds, butterflies, cats, etc.) that we see at the beginning and the end, along with the line, “We thought the outside was uninhabitable. But if you came from there, that must not be true.” in episode two said directly to Ginger prove that the outside world has recovered and likely has humans, if any have survived.

About the Lo-Fi girl getting copyright claimed. A malaysian company called FNC Music was the one that falsely claiming copyright to that channel. I felt embarassed at first seeing a company from my own country did that but upon further research, the admin explained to everyone that their youtube channel was hacked and they weren’t the one doing all the stuff to the Lo-Fi girl channel. They even filed a police report for it.

this game reminds me of little nightmares 2 with the gross fleshy eyewalls and large comfy too creepy,eerie atmosphere(s)
in the game. not only that, but both games have amazing animation!

This is deff one of my favorites!

This game is giving mad outer wilds vibes

Also, what if all the humans left ages ago because the surface was fine but left the plague and the robots to deal with themselves because at that period of time they all just assumed they were mindless machines and had no humanity. Now years and years later, the younger generations on both side know very little about the other.
Then the cats would be considered stray because they’re living in the ruins of the underground city away from the living humans, rather than because all the humans are dead.

I’m so grateful that Jack playing this game, and me watching him playing the game. So many things to internalized, like What will going to happen in the world that we live in. Time is ticking. The cat, Ginger, is cute tho.
