I love this game so much, the story really got me. You play as this tiny cat that probably doesn’t even understand that is going on and what it all is about but you as a human behind it see the bigger thing. with all those memories you piece together the situation and what happened until you look down at it at the end and be like “ooooh okay”. Something happened so the humans tried to hide from the outside in this walled city, but as humans are they fucked that up too. they divided themselves in classes again, shitting on the ones under them and throwing their garbage mindlessly in the slums, even forbidding them to use light to save power. then some superduper company is like “we can take care of the waste!” creating this bacteria that also going all wild and they lost control over it, so it mutated and almost killed everyone in the slums. and the levels above? they do not care, they didn’t even know. like the robot says, they haven’t heard from down there in a while. also I think nobody in the mid town talked about zurks, they might not even know this threat. and upper town is so tidy and clean, but the robots there aren’t awoken. they’re just robots doing their work, no personality. and with this pandemic breaking out all the other humans in die too, because they are so cooped up in this city, they couldn’t outrun it. they built their own death trap trying to hide from the big bad outside. and the big bad outside meanwhile healed in absence of the humans that probably made it this worse in the first place. now all is fine because the biggest threat to nature is gone. eradicated themselves. It might not happen tomorrow or in a few years but I can kinda see this happening irl and I’m fine with that. We will be gone someday, I hope earth isn’t too destroyed to heal then.

This game is beautiful but not only visually this story is just so wonderful I can’t even explain everything I love about it but it’s so wondrous I love the softness and kindness these robots show is beautiful they have emotions they have families stories hobbies it’s great to see a new life thrive that still look up to the humans who made them and now they adopt the traits of humans I absolutely love this game

my only thought here is why is the cat so intelligent did the cats evolve over the time humans went extinct and somehow learn to comprehend language (more specifically how to read human language) and solve complex tasks such as fetching the nuclear battery and then knowing how to use it for the subway? my point is cats have evolved to become the new rulers of the planet once they gain the ability to grab stuff it’s all over.

The fact that at the end you won’t see the other cats waiting for you, since they don’t know you’re still alive and continued living life makes it more sad but realistic, yknow?

When I finished the game I thought very similarly about the length of it and how it did everything it wanted to in just the right amount of time. I was left feeling so intrigued by how the companions would progress and how things would go from that point out. Maybe B12 was able to find a way back into the system and maybe get a new body? Who knows? And I absolutely share your thoughts on how the world got into the state it was in and just how scarily similar things are for us right now. I know it’s a naivete to say if only people weren’t greedy and self-centered then we’d likely not be headed down this path. Unfortunately those are the traits that have kept us as a species going for so long…I wish there was a way to tell the corporations that helping everyone helps them in the long run so they’d be more likely to change. 🙁

The spark in the computers at the end i think it was B-12 living Its live in the whole city cause like they said Its the control room and he downloaded him self inside to open everything
