I wish this game allowed you to pick the type of cat you want, but great game, had some soft locks that I had to restart the checkpoint to finish it but still great game, hope there is a part 2/dlc or something (I don’t think I would of played this game if it wasn’t a cat, I don’t see this working with a dog etc

In the jail part, Clementine didn’t talk because B12 wasn’t there. B12 translates everything the robots say, without him, the cat couldn’t understand what Clementine says

About the trash eating bacteria, if I remember correctly from another playthrough, that’s how the Zurks actually came to be. They were supposed to eat trash, then they evolved and started eating things they weren’t supposed to. You actually found one of the notes about it in Doc’s lab, where it said ‘the Zurks are no longer under our control’ or something like that.

the zorks are the bacteria humans worked on. but it got greedy (like humankind) and wanted to eat it all.
Humans contained it, abandoning their little cylinder creation with companions with it..
Sentinels are humans way of trying to make them stay in there, and not reach the world above.
Just a theory.
