having to not tear up while watching the end of this at work was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I think it really says a lot about the inherent kindness of humanity, and even what we will inevitably leave behind, that each character looked at this little cat, this creature that, as far as they knew, understood nothing of what was going on, and said “yes. you deserve to have freedom. if even one of us should make it out, it’s you, because you don’t deserve to suffer.” and I feel like that’s the greatest message this game has to offer. Just… be kind. To eachother, and to all creatures, great and small.

I was not expecting to fall in love with this game as much as I did. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been doing great lately, but I found myself getting more attached to the characters, the world, and the story than I expected. Definitely my favorite game of the year.

Translating that one note by Momo that said something like “its been (a large number) of days since we gained sentience,” It’s been about 6 million years since the robots gained self awareness. Thats not necessarily a “humans have been gone for 6 millions years,” but it does give context for how long of a timeline we’re talking, here.

I honestly expected a cutscene where the cats meet again after the credits. I wanted to see them reunite so badly. Now with an open ending like that, it only leaves me with speculations, like will the cat find the family now? Are the other cats fine too? I really need to know. Hopfully the devs can add a cutscene in the future ;_;
