What a wonderful thematic and visual encapsulation of how the heroes of humanity fall to despair but return to transcend their pasts for the sake of the future, through summoning. It’s a pretty poignant take on the subject which this animation covers, and I really appreciate just how much they captured both the darkness and the light of what it means to be a heroic spirit in this setting and world, drawing from the legends, myths and details of real history to do it, and showing how they are remembered and gain purpose and meaning again beyond their mortal lives, through the impact they left on the world. Each frame is dripping with a lot of that, and the artistic style, gorgeous animation, and beautiful music all augment that already fantastic core and what it conveys. What a great work they pulled out for this one, and both JP and NA players can relate and appreciate it too!
