Leaving a comment just to say I watch all of these from start to finish, but treat them more as podcasts and just listen to them in the background every morning while I work. Great content, last years tier lists were good and I’m sure this one will be good too 🙏

I would use Muramasa more for dps if he had the signature Emiya NP type switch. That would be perfect to go from Arts to Buster. That and his crit gain just needs to be up
Saber Alter just needs multiple buffs cuz damage wise she’s pretty good.

On different note, have you thought about getting some professional vocal training? Your work is very intensive on throat and these can really help in long term (saying from experience as person who works in different field, but also very vocal intensive).

Alright, I hope this comes as valid criticism. I`ll just leave some numbers.

Last year you talked about how Beni`s NP is bad because when she doesnt hit her niches, it is just a flat damage NP. Okay, I agree with this statement, but I think it is unfair to rate Beni without taking her niche into consideration.

You see, when we have a more restricted niche, I think it is fair to take into consideration how the servant will perform without it, but that isnt Beni`s case at all.

According to the Wiki, we have as of now, february of 2023, 374 servants on FGO. I counted these by hand now, so correct me if I`m wrong, but we have 24 Lawful/Evil servants; 17 Neutral/Evil servants; 77 Chaotic/Good or Balanced servants; 11 Chaotic/Weird Stuff (like Nero Bride`s Chaotic/Bride or Chaotic/Summer); and finally a whooping 60 Chaotic AND Evil servants.

In total, we have 189 servants with either Chaotic or Evil or both traits in FGO, which is over half the servants we currently have in the game. So, why would anyone bring Beni against anything that isn`t her niche?

I honestly don`t think we should take into consideration how Beni fairs without at least one her niches, because we get to fight them hella often. If you bring her for DPSing and the enemy isnt either chaotic or evil or both, just skip. Actually, you dont see anyone talking shit about about anti-divine niche NPs, but we have only 112 divine servants, which is a lot less than Beni`s targets.

Just to finish off talking about her NP, I think it should`ve been taken into consideration that Dechi`s NP powermod works like Jack`s female powermod. The damage stays after the NP is finished, so any Beni`s card after that, including her extra attack, will have bumped up damage. And that is against over half the servants in the game.

Now talking a bit more about general things Beni has that is often overlooked, her evade skill being [false] is actually good on her, it isnt just “basic”. Between the skill`s 40% crit dmg up and her 10% on passive, Beni has a 50% crit damage up with very good uptime and she generates a crap load of both stars and NP gauge with a B>A>Q (6 hits quick card. Insane.), which became even more relevant after Mighty Chains. Without command codes, she easily generates more than 20 stars, but with proper command coding, she can generate up to 30+ stars per turn easily, so Beni can also be a crit machine. And again, all these crit things will be bumped up by her NP, provided you hit any of her niches.

And for last, I think Beni`s team utility, while talked about, were a bit downplayed here. With servants like Okita, Musashi and Dioscuri being at A+ while having no team utility whatsoever, I think this should`ve also been taken into consideration on Beni`s placement, as she is not only a good DPS servant, just as these three, but she can also provide the whole team crucial support.

She pairs nicely with Castoria, providing her protection against the only thing that can go through Solemn Defense, which is buff removal, and giving her a little bit of healing, plus not letting the team die to random crits or even delaying the enemy`s NP by a turn so Castoria can get to her NP. She is also a good fit with Tammy/Waver/Asclepius etc. as they`ll give the enemy hell stalling their NP tick gauges.

I`ll stop here, although I could bring a lot more arguments on why Beni should be at least A+. I dont think A is a bad placement, but I really dont see how Beni can be below SSRs like the other three I`ve already mentioned and Altera. I`d say you were a bit too harsh because of her NP without giving it proper thought.

I’m on the fence about Muramasa in a world of 90++ nodes Muramasa usually isn’t going to be enough. Especially in light of Jason of all servants getting a great NP now and being free. It’s amusing that NP1 Muramasa vs. NP5 Jason at level 90 off grails is very similar damage.
