Very underwhelming tbh. I didn’t enjoy EW much, either in terms of its story or the content other than Panda, and the 6.x stuff has been a snoozefest. This seems like a filler expansion arc and at this point i’d like a fresh cast. Think I’ll just sit the game out and check if 8.0 is any better at this rate. Pity because I was looking forward to a new magic dps. The graphics update, while I went in with muted expectations, as far as the characters are concerned seems very muted. Ok just under a year to go but even less than that in practice and it’s already been 18 months of work on this. At least the zones look brighter and with better textures, but it’s still not on a par with what they showed just after 6.0. So yes, I think I’ll take an extended break.

While I understand that this is the first fanfest of 3, and we have about a year til Dawntrail, this didn’t get me excited at all. The best news from the keynote was “more dye options.” Everything else was more of the same. It feels like we’re being fed a meal and told to be grateful because it has an entree and two sides, but there’s no spice or flavor to make the meal actually taste good.
