I don’t think being startled/jump scares count, that is just standard issue reaction, it would be weirder if you don’t react to them, when I think spooked it is entering panic fight or flight, so like Duncan always panic screaming and then blindly running in a direction(just been watching his Grounded series and love every time they run into a spider, so fresh on my mind)

To be fair Ben mostly gets scared when something is a threat/danger to him in a game, when the thing is just meant to be a spookum he has no real reaction to it other than laughing at everyone else.

I don’t know if Ben was playing up the ‘scares’ from the donations, cause it seemed like he got scared pretty frequently for a repeating sound. Definitely think some of the Devour and Backrooms scares were genuine, but it doesn’t really ever seem like it *leaves* him scared, just more stressed if anything. Think the Backrooms was definitely a good example of seeing him be scared, but after the initial response he’s more stressed than scared.

Why do the death animations in these games always look so garbage? Just a nice long closeup of the monster’s face until it isn’t scary anymore, then the screen fades to black
