After seeing this I really hope she plays Katamari at some point. I can only imagine her reactions to the king!
What do you call the doctor who graduates last on their class? Doctor. See? Its Binary, you pass or fail.
Typical Asian parents do be like that
Oh yeah I remembered my mom would throw my book across the house and hit me when I’m ranked 26th out of 50 students in the class
94% is still very good 👍
Hei Copingronii, is your parents by chance an Asian? 🤣
when A is not good enough …
You will face disappointments, you will experience some setbacks, it goes with the territory. You must understand that. I’m saying to you what if after you face rejection, nobody believes in you, you’ve lost again and again and again. The lights are cut off but you’re still looking at your dream, reviewing it every day and say to yourself “it’s not over until I win.” Life will yield to you.
Even though my parents are not Asians, I can somehow relate to this. My parents were kinda strange in that regard: If I got a bad mark, they wanted me to understand the problem and get a better mark next time but they still will be a little bit pissed of that I got it in the first place😅. Also, they’ve become more “soft” about my marks with time and that helped me to actually study better. Finished my school as a top student with pretty high marks which allowed me to study for free in many good national universities but I decided to go study further abroad lol.
The thing is, it’s not always bad when parents “force” you to do something or place high expectations. Children haven’t seen the world, they don’t have a baggage of experience and don’t often understand an importance of some things like studying. My parents gave me a reality check of my future prospects quite early and I’ve understood that in order to do what I want and don’t spend my life doing things I hate or don’t have any interest in, I need to study. I don’t like the studying routine but I do enjoy learning new stuff and becoming better at something and I’m grateful to my parents for giving me an opportunity to build my own life.
Forcing children to be the best in everything they do for no reason and being pissed because they are not is actually dumb and toxic. Giving children an “easy” life and not implementing an idea of effort also could destroy their future.
I think that you, as a parent, always have to understand your children, what they want and dream about and help them to achieve it, even by “forcing” them sometimes (maybe because they are lazy or shy or unsure about their skills).
It is a difficult task to balance between being forceful, reasonable and doting parent but parenting and life are not easy at all
Ah, yes, the Asian parent experience. 😭
Everyone who experienced what Kronii did will understand it. Also watch out for sudden newspaper roll slam or flying slippers, courtesy of parents who couldn’t accept anything below 100%. 😣😑
A is for average
B is for bullshit
C? No such thing
Ah yes… I remember my experience in university…
Me when I was a first year freshmen: “A-… dammit… I’ll get an A next time…”
Me during my 3rd year: “THANKS GOD I GOT A C!!! LET’Z GOOO!!!”
Damn! Kronii went to school? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
damn can relate so hard rn since i just got my card from school and my mom told me to study harder since i got an 80+ in one subject, while all the others are 90+. having asian parents be like living in hard mode irl.
Kronii secret to perfection: Set your own standards for what “perfect” means
First it was Bae getting grounded by Mama Rat for getting a B, and now this. Fucking Asian households, man…
