Thanks for reacting to Towa. I hope you react to Palette as well. Towa belongs to the fourth generation of Hololive’s Japanese branch. Hololive’s generations are often a mix of talent, but Gen 4 is notable for the number of musically oriented talents. In addition to Towa, 4th gen also has two other singers: Tsunomaki Watame, who has released two albums worth of songs, and Amane Kanata, who actually forms a unit called ORIO with Towa. I would recommend listening to Watame’s “My Song”, and for Kanata her recent cover of “Meltdown”, which was originally a vocaloid song and is not at all easy to sing.

Someone brought up IRyS in the Moona video and that got you intrigued. So I recommend starting off with Here Comes Hope by IRyS. Fan favourite for it’s fast paced rock style which differs a little from her usual style of also excellent songs. Her vocal talent shines through as well.

This was her singing live, i reccommend you watch her singing “Palette”, her original song, it is on a whole other level for me.
You HAVE to watch a Video from Hoshimatchi Suisei, you will love her!
I recon you would like “Ghost” or “Stellar Stellar” the most.

i can 100% guarantee that she felt that song when singing it..towa herself is very emotional person and she had her share of struggles.even at her start of streaming as vtuber she got a lot of hate (99% of it was unnecessary)

they do songs in studio (this was taken from live performance)…they do live performances hololive done couple of concerts in which girls perform live with a 3d avatars on stage..you should check them out…for example Takanashi Kiara “(HINOTORI (Kiara’s 3D Birthday Concert)”…she performing her original song live there..would love to see your reaction

I have a cool story to tell you here. First of all, , like someone already said in the comment, this is a live version (you guessed it right) and you can find her real cover in her channel.

Now as you already know, this song was produced by Niki. It’s not the first time that Towa covered a song made by him, so he pretty much knows who she is because hololive have to ask him permission. When Towa chose this song to be performed by her at a big live event from hololive, the “Hololive 2nd fes. Beyond the Stage”, he was here to listen to it, and was really impressed. Some people said that he basically approved it to be her song after that event.

Months after that, at another big live show, Towa sung for the first time “Palette”, who is written by her and composed by guess who? Niki.

This one is one of the most powerful performances of Hololive because of all the history and context that it has behind, first obviously the version you have reacted to is a live version in her 3D Live Debut, and secondly this cover is very special for her, since it was the first big cover she uploaded to her channel and it blew up, even when she had a very rough start in Hololive, with a lot of drama involving a boy and was the least followed amongst her genmates, but thenshe uploaded this cover that is on her channel, the official studio version i mean, and everybody loved it, and right now it is one of the most famous and viewed songs in Hololive, and then she sang it in her 3d debut stream, and was feeling very emotional during the performance so she ended up almost crying mid song as you have heard, because of all the emotions and the moment, as well as the link to the lyrics of the song as you have seen in this video. Its funny that you think that this doesn’t seem like a cover, because that’s something that is shared among all the hololive fans, this song feels like its her own, and its even funnier because the author of the original song, Nikki, praised Towa for her cover (and afterwards Towa covered some other songs from her) and in the end they ended up collaborating to create Towa’s first original song Palette, which is a masterpiece as well, and talks a bit about her journey and her past, so you should check it out sometime if you want

Towa’s singing leaves such an impact, glad to see this!

Also, have you heard of our lord and savior, Tsunomaki Watame? She’s in the same generation as Towa. She puts a lot of effort into music and has reinvested all the support she’s received from fans to put out a ton of original songs. I think the one that best conveys her struggles over the course of her musical journey is “My song” – highly recommend it!

Glad you checked out Towa, she is a very powerful singer full of emotion. I hope you get a chance to check out Pallette too. If you want a change of pace after this one I would recommend Takanashi Kiara with either song of Sparks or Do U. Both are more upbeat and she has a great voice as well

This brings back memories…this is definitely a clip from one of her live performances. This song was one of her earliest successes and she likes to occasionally sing this song again during her big concerts and karaoke streams – it’s like a call back to the early days. Nikki also ended up collaborating with her to create some of her original songs (how cool is that!?)

She’s actually made two songs with Niki now(Palette and FACT), he’s also said that he basically sees her cover as the definitive version of the song now.

This is the live version, there’s also an official version. Despite it being a cover, Towa put her heart into this and made it her own. I think that’s easy for people to see.
