so, this is just my theory after playing the demo. The story revolves around Tenkousei-kun (the transfer student) where both of them “exist” in the present and the past. One thing they have in common is that the transfer student also got into an accident while in school and similar situation also happened in the past. Shino (Soda-chan) had a crush (or interest in befriending?) with the transfer student, hence that’s why she keep appearing in front of him. Why did i mention this? Well, the game pictured Shino as a vengeful spirit with a temper of a yandere and her goal is to imprison the transfer student along with her.

But what if it’s the other way around?

We can conclude that Shino already long dead in that accident in the past and you probably remember about that ghost story about the bloody canvas and rumors about some weird shit been happening around region where the school is. What if Shino spirit got “stuck” in that dimension because of that ghost? And somehow because the exact same thing happened in the present, both of the timeline collides and the dimension where Shino at is connected with the present (for example Kimi no Nawa and game called Ever17), thus explained the glitching Shino that only happen in the present (check out the difference between the early and late part). This not the only evidence. Right before Shino went yandere and chase us she said, “What are you doing? Let’s go home.” but Tenkousei refuses to go home, which she replied “What are you saying?! You have to go home!” and “…I can’t escape” (in the game i only heard can’t escape but…). Skipping where Tenkousei-kun sh*t his pants and running for his life, he arrived at present school where there is Torii (traditional Japanese gate) around the hallway. And of course Shino already there welcoming him, but the weird thing is rather than stopping she’s clearing the obstacle that leads to the exit (of course she didnt forget about being creepy while doing that..) and after he arrived in front of the exit Shino appeared again while saying “You ran away again” and again not stopping us from leaving. Honestly, after so many hint i’m convinced that Shino is not some vengeful spirit rather wants to help Tenkousei-kun from having the same fate as her. For the part “Will you always be my friend” in the official website, probably she’s saying it to Tenkousei-kun as a goodbye hoping he they will still be friend even if they part way and cannot see each other anyomore (similar to Anohana).

(sorry for my bad english and this is just an incomplete theory of mine, pls correct me if i got anything wrong)
