The reason why that Twitter user posted that fake edit of Matt Walsh is because you have to understand those on the extreme left don’t like anime that much because it’s one of the few things in pop culture media that they still have little to no control over. It’s just like with video games where they’re trying their hardest to subvert video games to their will but it has either has blew up in their faces or had has yielded mix results in trying to promote their nonsense.

The reason why many of those on the extreme left hate anime because the Japanese content creators that contributed to the anime industry (directors, mangakas, writers. and so on) enjoy their right to freely express themselves to write the stories they want to write, the characters they want to create, and draw the art they want to draw and they don’t like it when big faceless corporations or corrupt government officials or idiots on the internet tell them what to do. The reason why the extreme left hates anime so much is because they can’t control it and so if they can’t control it then it has to be demonized much like how the Christian Right used to demonize Dungeons and Dragons and violent video games back then. I don’t like Matt Walsh either but if the lefties are going to post fake news about someone they don’t like then at least make sure it doesn’t look photoshopped then lol.
