If your eyesight is bad enough that you cannot function in daily life without glasses and you are a candidate for it, I highly recommend lasik. Scary as hell to have it done and not at all cheap, but by far the best money I’ve ever spent and the biggest single improvement to my quality of life in my life. After decades of being legally (but not literally) blind being able to wake up and just see things is fucking amazing

man i just wish i could save enough money to get mine corrected too, having it at -7 both and extra -0.75 astigmatism on my left truly felt like a handicap. but i think what fauna said is true, i rarely went outside since i was little soo haha

I don’t know the numbers for my eyes, just that they’re bad and I can only see clearly without my glasses things that are less than a foot away from my eyes. I’m scared to ask how much that surgery costs…

I knew Kronii must had a surgery, she literally mentioned using leopard glasses before

Astigmatism is the PERFECT eye illness just because you can simply say “fuck you” and get rid of it with the power of technology

Well, unless you have ANOTHER illness like an eye deformity caused by years of rubbing your eyes too hard and now you have to treat it and fix it to be able to take the surgery, like I do

One of the rare times someone’s had worse than mine. I’m -4.75 though I haven’t been to the doctor in a while. I think I also have astigmatism so maybe I’ll get lasic in the future

Man… I used to have 20/ _10_ vision (as in better-than-perfect – yes, that’s a thing). But now I have astigmatism in one eye and then nearsightedness in the other. It happened because of physical injuries though…

Fortunately they make contact lenses for astigmatism now, so I’m good without annoying glasses.
