There are benefits to carrying without holster. Most holsters are specific for attachments. It’s doesn’t outweigh how stupid is to do so, but I wouldn’t say people who carry without holsters don’t do so for certain reasons that are benefit to them

I carry without a holster but I have a small gun and I can put it in my pocket I would never put a gun down my pants.

Even if I decide to pocket carry, I use at bare minimum, a cheap holster that covers the trigger guard. This dude probably carried his gun in the front of his pants. Even a cheap $10 holster could have saved his happy place, and his dog.

As always people will come complacent with their pistols and find out right away why we must treat our weapons with respect and only be touching them while in self defense or the range. I carry a P365 with a 7.0 lb trigger pull (Actual measured amount). It ALSO has a manual trigger safety. And I still carry in a pocket holster, which holds the gun in the optimum position to draw. It is easier and FASTER to draw WITH the pocket holster than without it.
