I remember seeing another video from a few years ago where someone did have a holster (a G-Code Incog) and when he reholstered his Glock, initially everything seemed fine but then when he bent over the gun went off.

The video spread around a lot because the guy did no obvious infractions in that video, and it was a reputable holster and reputable gun. Clearly he still did something wrong, but I’m still not entirely sure what. That video among others is why I prefer guns that have some kind of external safety mechanism, like a thumb safety on a 1911, a DA/SA gun where I can pin the hammer or feel the striker moving like on a Walther P99, or a striker control device on a Glock.

Yeah, it’s nice and all to say “practice safe gun handling” but sometimes shit happens, and you make mistakes that are very subtle you don’t notice until it’s too late. Having an extra layer of safety is simply a good thing IMO.

Colion You could not be more wrong. More than 99 percent of all gun fails on the internet and everywhere in the world the gun did not have a THUMB SAFETY or it was not applied. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. If the gun had a SAFETY and it was properly applied he would not have shot himself. Too many of your videos are supporting gun ownership without safety’s. Does your car have a safety belt? Do you wear the safety belt when driving? I wont watch any of your shooting videos because too many times you are promoting safetyless unsafe guns. I like you videos talking about law and others but I have zero respect for anybody that promotes safetyless guns. Everybody that I have ever ran into that “Accidentally” shot themselves did it with a safetyless gun. It was not a lack of holster because every one of them had a holster it was a lack of safety on the gun. Someday the democrats are going to figure out that a gun without a safety is unsafe and when that happens look out.
