I’ve pocket carried a ruger SP101 for many years without a holster. I never carry anything else in that pocket and can’t imagine a scenario where a 10+lb trigger pull with an exposed hammer in a confined area would accidently occur… Is this crazy or are you specifically speaking to semi auto pistols?

It’s because they’re being an ill prepared tight wad. Having a weapon means you must invest on the equipage that it needs. Holster, cleaning kits, lights, etc.

Colion Noir I will bet the gun was a GLOCK, a gun with no manual safety. Second they don’t make a holster for my S&W 4506 anymore and to be honest I need a new triple retention duty holster and would like a “horizontal” shoulder holster for the same gun.

I pocket carry my beretta 92 a1 but I’m 6’3″ so its easy for me to fit a bianchi military holster in said pocket then put the gun in it

A lot of the people I see having a negligent discharge without a holster are wearing sweatpants or gym shorts. With the phlster enigma there is absolutely no excuse for carrying without a holster.

A cheap holster is better than not having one, but be careful because even some of them cheap ones can give you the same outcome. If all else fails buy something just to hold you over until you can afford a good one
