Years ago I remember when I first got my Glock I was so excited to start conceal carrying for self defense but I didn’t have a holster yet. Then one day it fell through my short’s leg opening in the parking lot as I was getting out my car. I was mortified. I told myself I would never carry without a holster first ever again.

Moral of the story, NEVER carry without a holster.

Or, you can get a nice custom-fitted one from a mom and pop store. Group of guys here in Jacksonville, Florida run a holster shop where they take the gun measurements and make you a holster where the back is made of leather and the front is made of a hard plastic.

20$ and I’ve never had a better holster in my life.

And get a GOOD holster. If you insist on using leather, get it from a good leather holster maker who knows how to bolster the areas that traditionally collapse over time and can get jammed in your trigger guard. If you can only spend $40 on a holster, then avoid leather and get kydex. This isn’t difficult or and it doesn’t have to be expensive. This isn’t the movies.

First thing I bought was a holster. Even with a dual safety where the grip has to be compressed before the trigger safety disengaged I still keep a conceal carry holster

If you pocket carry, only use that pocket exclusively for your pistol with at least a soft holster(covering the trigger) designed for that purpose.
Draw fast and then re-holster slowly outside of your pocket and then place the holstered gun back in your pocket.
If you do this you should be safe to carry with one in the chamber.
The second guy in the video that shot himself in the leg was because he was fishing for something in the same pocket as his gun(probably without a holster) and hit the trigger….don’t do that!

Bought a new shield plus haven’t found the right one yet cause I can’t decide whether to 4 o’clock or appendix carry would like something for extra magazines and leather over kidex? Hopefully I find the right one the first time could you give a few tips or options or both thanks 4 your work for America’s 2ND amendment rights

Feel sorry for that guy but there’s a blood in it you ought to know never carry a loaded gun without a holster I would carry one if I didn’t have a holster
