My first holster was a uncle Sam. It’s a good starter. I also carried without a holster. But I had finger discipline.

@Colion Noir whether it was mexican carry or holstered, the dude obviously didn’t use trigger discipline and drew with his finger INSIDE the trigger guard. instead of pulling from the grip, he pulled from the trigger. and a revolver at that.

I totally agree with this guy most of the people who have “accidental discharge” it wasn’t really an accident, they either had no holster or did something wrong and gun safety would stop that from happening, if you don’t have a holster and you got your finger on the trigger it’s bound to happen at some point. Carry in my belts or pocket for 25 plus years never shot my self
The key is to know what you are doing
I will say when i am aroud kids or individuals with no gun knowledge I will carry only guns with safeties
Sw chief sp is one of my edc
Sw shields 2.0 have start into my rotation
I am a little bit of a hypocritical
Young and new individuals i tell to learn to be comfortable with a holster

I pocket carry a lot but I keep it in a pocket holster. I also don’t keep it chambered. I get lectured all the time that I should keep it chambered but I prefer that safety barrier.
