I happen to be one of those guys that carry in my front pocket of my jeans! In a holster that was designed for that purpose! Same as appendix carry but to me more comfortable and same security features!

I appendix carry and keep mine +1 but the gun I have has a 5 ounce trigger pull. You really have to be squeezing in order for it to go off.

Man they even make holster that are FOR the peoples who like to carry inside their waistbands.

It’s literally about as flat as a notebook with no papers and just two covers. They have no attachments or anything you need to latch on, just slide your piece in the holster and slide them both behind your belt/waistband

Get. A. Holster. Get trained on how to holster, unholster to ready position, how to move from ready position to fire, and how to reholster. The same training will hopefully have you on track to getting your CCW. By the way since so many people have a Glock 17, there is nothing wrong with a simple Safariland holster for it or really any Kydex made for it. They are out there, people. Just look.

Even if you are using a holster if you decide to do appendix carry I would recommend not using a striker fired pistol and switch to DA/SA with a hammer. If you are reholstering a striker fired weapon and a drawstring, shirttail or piece of debris actuates the trigger you may take a round through your dick, balls, lower abdomen or femoral artery or a combination of those. If you are reholstering a hammer fired gun with your thumb on the hammer you will feel the resistance as the hammer starts to move reward and can stop. But definitely use a holster.
