Not a criticism, just a check to see if my thoughts are out of the reasonable set of responses.

With Ren missing such a big event, I wonder why he had no emergency plan? This seems to crop up quite a bit in the community, but it seems to me that it is quite avoidable. You can rent a hotel room for a night with decent enough internet relatively cheap (or camp in a room in a net cafe if one is nearby).

Even if you don’t have a dedicated mobile or travel set up, moving a desktop is not that hard (it is a pain in the butt though).

If you can’t afford it or can’t secure transport that is wholly excusable, but I don’t think Ren is in the first boat at least. (I am just using him as an example anyway)

Is my thinking unreasonable?

I feel like sometimes having some stricter rules for corporate streamers is a good thing.
It gives the ones that want it structure and gives the ones that want to push the envelope a goal.
Sometimes when you have complete ‘talent freedom” you end up with a lot of boring streams because they have nothing to rebel against anymore.
Or worse, they start doing react content.

I saw Moona live this morning! Pretty shocking that her live numbers were higher than Holo X’s live debuts!

Also, didn’t Phase Connect just release a Gen 2? I’ve noticed that their live viewers are as high or higher than their Senpais, on average. They seem to be doing very well. Although if auditions are just hitting now, then I suppose the earliest debuts can’t be sooner than late November or perhaps mid December.

The lack of security isn’t the only problem Patreon is having. I’ve been hearing word parents are using accounts to promote child pron of their own kids. Patreon is just a garbage site and it’s clearly dying. Now I don’t whether or not this is a good alternative but I’ve heard this site Subscribestar is supposed to be a decent alternative for anyone through with Patreon’s BS.
