I agree with their decision in hindsight, but I’m in a fairly similar (though less full menhara) spot to Pippa. Artia was my first oshi to retire and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover.

Hololive CN would still exist if it wasn’t for the CCP and their desire to rape the absolute shit out of the actual Chinese in Taiwan. Seems that some people in the comments here are simping for the CCP and think Hololive did something wrong, when the fans in the CCP are constantly trying to tear down the company and its talents because a few idols mentioned the actual China. Hololive cut off the CN branch like a cancer because they had to save the rest of the company. If you’re going to blame anyone, blame the commies and their cock gobblers.

The drama with then keeping their models was a power move on their behalf. Hololive never said they could keep it, they were trying to put the company in a position where outrsge and image would get them what they want.

Remember, all of this started because two members said a country watches them. Ironically a lot of those viewers would have been the chinese that raged against them because its common for chinese people to use vpn to taiwan to bypass the archaic chinese censorship.

After all these years I’ll never understand how people always believe the blatant lies being spread about the holo cn girls, like they are some hatred filled warmongers. People dont like china so anything to do with it must be bad i geuss. People who see a reddit post making up stuff or a youtube video with shoddy reporting and then deciding to attack holo cn is exactly whats caused this mess. Im happy to hear Pippa liked holo cn and didnt just join the hate bandwagon.

Artia was trying so hard to cancel coco, I don’t get it how she was so brainwashed while living in Canada. Pippa should use DeepL to check out those tweets and think twice before saying that she likes both Coco and Artia.

Also about the Holo CN vtubers gets to keep their models shit, that was made up entirely by some of the talents (leading by Artia). They basically tried to sign contract with a Chinese company and take the models along with them, and it was a week before the termination. I lost all my respect to Artia, Rosalyn and Doris at that point. What they were trying to do is utterly disgusting.

Cover shutting down Holo CN is a huge W, the bilibili vtuber community is toxic AF. Streaming at bilibili is just like streaming at 4chan, all you get are bunchs of incel degens.
If anyone understand Chinese, take a look at Tieba or Bilibili for vtuber related discussions, that shit is far worse than anything you can find on 4chan. Niji WILL get into troubles soon or later if they tries to keep the CN market. Actually they’ve already took a hit when those Chinese Vox fangirls tries to cancel Reimu. Also, it is difficult AF to take money from bilibili for oversea streamers. I don’t understand any oversea vtuber agencies trying to develop there Chinese market at bilibili, and I genuinely hope they can protect their talent at least as well as Cover does.

I’m from China btw so if anyone tries to tell me otherwise about Artia’s comments on Coco and shit, just don’t, I understand every single word she said and it was fucked up

cover closes a whole branch for coco. an extremely profitable region. a region not even the likes of the NBA or Disney are willing to leave because they know how profitable it is. the most pragmatic move for cover to do was to kick coco out. but they didnt.

Only if Chinese people could accept other’s opinion on the Taiwan question… The government can obviously war about it, that’s politics and I can understand it but the population lashing on absolutely everyone mentioning it is what’s making the situation bad for everyone.
We could have kept CN and Coco (even if she’s way better off now) but there are always people to ruin things for others. Cover handled it the best way they could regarding what happened.
Edit: Worst thing is that K-son is still being followed by those antis nowadays… That’s dedication… appalling dedication…

Honestly, the japanese idol culture does appear to attract some wierdos but the Chinese followers are like this on steroids and if you go against the grain (ie against the CCP narrative) you are going to get bombarded with hate. She doesn’t even mention the worst part- that one of the HoloCN vtubers graduated on her birthday, and Yagoo himself showed up in the graduation stream to thank her for her service. I dont think they wanted to let these girls go, but they had to, for the greater good, and despite the pain of it all, I think its worked out for Hololive. I just hope those HoloCN girls moved on to better things/to a better country.

china sided was the one to blame all off it as all the coco drama shiet was just because coco look up an analytic from youtube official one which I so stupid to blame her and goes all political for that, it’s so petty and for the Hololove CN branch they had to shut down if they were to leave the market all together there just no choice for hololive to keep both Coco and Cn branch at that time nor now when they got already this big as there’s just no way to appase both sided. As per the CN talent’s and their model I’m not blaming pippa for get mad as their models are very high quality but I’m sure she’s know more about it that the model was provided by the company so there’s must be contract regarding this as we saw an exception that a graduated member can keep their model like delutaya case maybe or most likely they can’t keep their model was because of this. it’s one of those “can’t be helped” situation sadly.
