Pure oxygen is not only deadly, it’s a horrific death reminiscent of suffocation, as your body isn’t designed to process pure oxygen, and the other chemicals in the air we breathe help oxygen get absorbed at a lower rate. If you breathe pure oxygen, your lungs will quickly take it all in at once, overload, and shut down, leaving you to suffocate. Edit: I am so sorry to anyone who didn’t know this that I scared. If it’s comforting, you have to go out of your way to obtain pure oxygen.

She wasnt asking dumb questions though, because for example, rubbing alcohol isnt just 100% alcohol, theres other chemicals too, or bleach or poison or any such household chemical solution, so its not unreasonable to think that an “oxygen” tank is not just 100% oxygen, and that theres probably other gases in there

…honestly, why is this “dumb”? Bae had one moment of brain fart with calling air and oxygen at the beginning (and immediately realizing what she said was a mis-speak and correcting), and then started asking perfectly reasonable questions, such as why do people call diving tanks oxygen tanks when they can’t contain pure oxygen because yeah, that will poison you, and what’s in diving tanks then, and so on.

This is a perfectly reasonably smart person who doesn’t know a thing asking pertinent questions about it.
