Hololive Error is awesome and this video reaffirms that, but part of me feels a bit bummed thats its not really something I can show to people who dont already know Hololive.

All their names being different is a good start, but ive found that from an outsider perspective, the sheer amount of crazy non-human traits many (if not most) Holomembers have is way too distracting given the mundane-highschool-horror setting that needs to be taken somewhat seriously to work, and the fact that there is absolutely no in-universe explanation given to justify them.

Immediately most people seem to say/think things like “wait why does that girl have elf ears?” “Is that girl a cat? She even has a tail!” “What on earth is up with that girl’s floating hair?”

Granted, Hololive Error seems to be made for the fans first and foremost which is cool, but I still think that its a slight bummer that they may be missing an opportunity to market this game/project to a wider audience.

Personally, I think this problem could potentially be solved just by just removing all their non-human physical traits.

I know it might take a fair amount of resources to do this, but still, they already demonstrate the ability to do things like remove Watame’s horns and even alter body proportions just as a gag in Hologra. Plus they already did go out of their way to give everyone a 3D school uniform.

Hair ornaments and wacky hair colors would still be fair game of course since people are already used to seeing that in most Anime prettu much regardless of tone.

Not even to mention the fact that even for the people who are already fans, this could potentially help in mentally distinguishing between the characters the talents are playing and the talents themselves.

What do i know though. Its very possible that they already considered this and the resulting designs just looked way too cursed lol.

Even this problem could MAYBE(?) be solved with some help from the original illustrators of each non-human talent, but at that point things would probably get quite expensive so I wouldnt blame them for just giving up lol.

(Like I said though, none of this is stuff that would really effect MY enjoyment very much. Itd just be cool imo if Hololive Error could be enjoyed/taken seriously by a wider audience.)
