Predicting the lore:
If you notice the part where the main character said goodbye before opened the door, after that part Shino (Sora) tried to stop her but then went silent and just pick that red flower (I forgot the flower’s name). I think that flower was actually the main character turned into it for some reason
And if you remember episode 2 or 3 there’s a part where a character talk the flowers they were planting that had the same kind.
I think before the main character became the student in this school, there had been other transfer students. Because of the curse of this school, all of them had been somehow treated badly and experienced the same thing main character went through then became the flower. After that students in Aogami school didn’t remember what happened and everything turned back to normal. Some students found the red flowers which were the transfer students and decide to plant them.
The next episodes may about the school or the time where or when Shino had study in and what happened to Shino.

(Sorry if my English is so bad and this is just my prediction and opinions, so don’t take it seriously)
