Looking back at the previous episodes after realizing the differentiating factor of eye color, we first see brown eye Shino in episode 8, where she emerges from the rubble and goes to the shrine and pray. Now that we can be quite sure that the people who are in the modern uniforms are likely not real, in the sense that it is some sort of alternate world that brown eye Shino is reliving. Blue eye Shino seems to have been trying to convince brown eye Shino to give up the perfect world that she “hides in to run away” and seems to have finally been able to convince brown eye Shino to do so in this episode.
I think Brown eye Shino is representative of the one who runs away from the issue, the landslide and that happened to her friends during episode 7. The news paper in the end of this episode looks like either a missing peoples or casualty report.
I still can’t make clear what is exact relationship between brown eye and blue eye is. I see comments talking about how the blue eye one is the god of Aogami that brown eye prayed to during episode 8, but there have also been other suggestions such as the blue eye and brown eye each representing a part of Shino’s soul, one that is running away from what happened and one that is trying to convince the other to accept what happened.
Eager to see how this play out and also to hear from others theories about this.

On the newspaper before the episode ends there is separately news about Aogami school I think below is the casualty and the above is who survived consists of Miko and another girl is unknown.
