The final chapter’s upon us…

So, this is going to be confusing to talk about, so let’s list out what I believe in the story up ‘til this point.
With 2 Shinos here before the final arc, I’ll clarify which Shino I’m calling out as I go along.

It all started in Chapter 6, as I stated in the last Chapter. But there’s one question I wanna ask. Where _was_ Shino at the start?
Shino was at a Shrine, yes, but where is _the shrine?_ From the dialogues in game and the videos, we don’t have any answer as to where the Shrine is. We can assume Sakura would know as she’s from a long line of Shrine family, stated in her bio. But I would say that the Shrine is in the Aogami Forest, the one that Sakura told Nanase to stay away in Chapter 7. And that the transfer student we and Shino saw(the one with the bracelet) is actually an otherworldly being. In the game, a Memo states that if you find someone in forest, don’t approach them, “for they don’t belong in this world.” But Shino doesn’t know that, and in Chapter 6, befriends them and causes these events to occur.

One thing that we probably all didn’t realized(or did, just didn’t made the connection/noticed), is that Shino is probably dead, or in a coma, struggling to recover. Why I say this, is that in Chapter 8 at the beginning, Shino’s eyes were *brown,* not *blue.* And notice, her eyes are brown *before* going back to the Shrine and wishing that her friends are safe. And when Shino wished for their safety, the transfer student appears and granted Shino’s wish, maybe out of pity.
(From now on, I’ll call the transfer student, “Misora(with blue eyes)” and Shino as “Shino(with brown eyes)”)

Of course, this wasn’t supposed to happen, and it caused an “ERROR”. As time goes by, it got worse, and Misora took on Shino’s appearance and voice to try to wake her up. Unfortunately, in the events before Chapter 1(story wise), Shino had forgotten/chose to forget about Misora, that’s why in Chapter 5, Misora says that Shino is “just running away again” and that her “fantasy won’t save anybody.”

In an ironic twist, Misora actually offers Shino to “run away again,” shown in this Chapter. But when she sees Shino get her hand off of Yuka’s grab, Misora quietly laughs, taking it as a sign that Shino’s ready to face the truth, no matter how painful it may be.

What I believe is that Misora was genuinely trying to help Shino make new friends in Chapter 6, but now regrets that decision with how many times Shino keeps replaying the save story; A high school female student with good looks and good friends. Now, she’s forcing Shino to wake up from her fantasy and face the facts that she was supposed to always be a quiet and shy girl with no self-confidence(since, let’s be honest, Shino was able to make friends with her classmate _because_ of Misora).

And now, after getting off of the train, Misora gives back Shino’s appearance and voice and waits for her in the final arc, in the now deserted, and forgotten Aogami Town. Maybe in her actual appearance or as the appearance Misora previously used when meeting Shino.

Just rewatched the 6th, 7th, and 8th episode and realised

Shino in the 6th and 7th episode is the Blue-eyed Shino. After the earthquake, Shino went to the Shrine and it turns out the Brown-eyed Shino make a wish to save everyone

あの時の転校生の様に周りから羨望の眼差しを向けられ、理想の友達と一緒に生きる事が出来る世界。
でもホントは今の世界が自分が生きるべき本当の世界ではないことにどこかで薄々気づいている。

大人びた口調の時乃ちゃんは現実を知っていて、夢に囚われているもう一人の自分に現実に戻って来いと訴えている。

青上様に願ったからこんなことになったのかは分からないけど、皆が「そっちに行ったら駄目だよ」というのは、現実に戻る事を止めてるって事なのかな？
