It’s an interview for a V-Tuber position. If they reject talents that refused IRL video calls, it means they are, at some point, going to break their contract of confidentiality and doxx the IRL appearance and info of their own V-talents.
Looks and IRL video should NOT matter to them. The voice, personality and ability to entertain are the only things they need to assess.

Okay thats not how they ever recruit Hololive Talents. They hire them literally by Nepotism. Hololive Gen 1 recruit the friends for Gen 2 and 3, Ina literally pulled her IRL friend Sana into hololive who later quit because she couldn`t stream 20 hrs a week. All of the Hololive JP knew each other from Nico Nico Douga days.
