Let’s see, I was a manager. I hired people of all types. The ABSOLUTE WORST employee ever was one of the trump supporters. We had another trumper- but this southern belle as she liked to promote herself called in sick every time she was supposed to be on call or there was a more difficult job dumping it on her coworkers.
I had to insist she bring a Dr’s note to stop it, because she’d say she was getting sick on Wed or Thurs and say she’s going “to see how she felt” but she KNEW (already) she would be sick through the weekend. Once the Dr’s note thing came up which was required if a person called in sick a certain number of times anyway…. she had a magical recovery. It stopped until I quit and lol she started pulling it on the next manager. He figured it out, and lol then was better until the next manager. lol
She also left a lot for her coworkers and needed reminders because it was frustrating of course and I had to step in a lot because they didn’t deserve her shi^^ ing on them …. and it was unfortunate that for what we did, qualified people were rare, so we had to work around it and hope it didn’t get to a firing situation with her.
