I’m actually quite pissed about the Holo-Among Us collab, it’s kinda complete BS. There are a number of streamers who straight up MADE the game gain traction, and people who still play the game all the time to this day. And yet they choose to collab with Hololive, a group who’s played the game only a handful of times. No, I’m not upset at Cover/Livers, they got offered the collab and thought it’d be fun, I’m fine with it. What does upset me is that the developers chose to reach out to freaking Hololive for a collab and not any of the people who play the game.

Basically, they’re giving a big FU to streamers like Hafu, 5up, some of the OTV Crew, Dumbdog, ChilledChaos, and more. The people who made the game popular or still play it every week. It’s ridiculous.

This is not unheard of, singers do tend to strain their throats over time. It could even be, roughly, considered normal for a serious long term singer to have to go through this issue.

the thing about Suisei’s thing is that, SHE CONSIDERS HERSELF HINDERED FOR THE PAST NINE MOUTHS!

IF THAT WAS HINDERED OH MY GOD I CAN’T IMAGINE HER UNHINDERED!
Now on her news, i respect the shit out of her attitude this. She’s completely positive, knows that this choice of hers will help in the long run and is even thinking of stuff she can do during this 1.5 month recovery. Plus her attitude towards this eases fans into it. It’s hard to be worried when she is being so positive and forward with us.

So i hope her surgery goes well and her recovery is quick and full. I am interested to see if she will be able to think of silent stream ideas. Maybe something like Marine did during her break where she got Kanata and then Fubuki to voice for her

Keep in mind, is that voice surgery is not particularly successful. There is a good risk of losing your voice permanently, or it becoming permanently rough, or losing vocal range. This is why you do not force yourself to use a voice that literately hurts to use (such as falsetto’s, yelling/screaming, and extensive singing,) to reduce the possibility of developing vocal cord nodules. People with allergies, acid reflux, or eating disorders are more likely to develop it, even if they’re not yelling.

I think I have a very similar issue to what Suisei has and can definitely agree that singing with constant mucus in your throat is exhausting, especially because you never know when your throat suddenly decides to clog up and it messes up ypur whole performance. It also makes your voice sound more nasal and makes it much more dificult to breath while singing. That she endured this the whole time and to us it looked like she was singing with no problems just shows what an amazing control she has over her body and voice. I wish her the best and hope she will recover well from her surgery.
