The only problem that Niji EN fans have is that Niji EN went Mainstream
nijisanji livers should have more collective bargaining power, or even some degree of self-management, cuz it seems like they’re more competent than their own management themselves
I also feel nijisani pumps out way to many vtubers, so hard keep up and figure out which ones you like.
The favoritism part is probably the most noticeable for me since I don’t actually watch live streams, just highlights and stuff on YouTube. Every time NijiEN comes out with a new gen, it usually takes me a few months to find out they even exist since Luxiem has a vast majority of content on here.
0:23 dying light 1 menu music? :3 nice
That has been Niji’s main issue from the very beginning, while catering to every single person mildly interested in streaming cartoon people they spread themselves too thin, when the margins are that low and there are so many talents you can’t regulate them or support them as you claim you could. If you don’t manage them they’ll manage themselves or form cliques to do so, cause they have no reason to rely on you to get anything done but take your cut off their earnings. When they see they can operate mostly without you they’ll resent you when you interfere.
so you collabed with khyo, you crafty rabbit
This 52 minutes video is amazing. So many things to know, agree, or even disagree.
Kudos to you, DN.
Nijisanji has slowly turned into a gray company for me. I still support the talents, its just that the problem for me is their terrible management
Downloading this just in case Nijisanji goes after it.
Things were so simple back then company and indie all the Vtuber are in the same big family
Then 2019 Kizuna’s former team and Gameclub multiple companies start to f themselves it’s like a big bang more indie and smaller company start to form using the failed experience of these cases as lessons
Nijisanji should cut their losses, sell the IP for Pomu and Selen to Hololive, and close up shop.
So lets reassess here talent side:
1. You are given a model.
2. You are given a major clout boost with a marketed debut and the brand is STRONG
3. equipment for your debut is all self bought, hence they obviously hire talent who are already experienced streamers with a large sub and view count. Like at least 100k subs on average. And increasingly higher based on how Mysta said “I was lucky to make it back then. But I wouldn’t be able to get in now.”
4. Debut assets and for future streaming is entirely out of pocket. And given how important a debut is. You kinda wanna go big with the expectation to earn back later
5. You earn 35% from donations from fans and supas. When normally talent agencies here ask for 30% for them while they go out to make deals on your behalf to give you 70%. Mystic and Vshojo follow this kind of model.
6. Literally ask permission for everything. Despite how understaffed management is in regards to processing such requests while at the same time its important to do so, because acting without perms is a faux pas. Have fun playing fall guys and Apex for months until you actually get perms to do what you want and thats IF you get them at all. Thats right. RIP creative freedom. And the fun part is management’s mandates changes on a whim and a dime. Perms can be revoked much faster than they are approved.
7. No independent sponsorship deals, everything through your agency.
8. Your country has fair use. Japan doesn’t. So you don’t purely by policy.
9. Sometimes you’re contractually obligated to shill or partake in projects you don’t want and given minimal to no support. Like your debut song. Where you’re just expected to send in your lines and the song is just shat out with no input creatively from you nor the ability to coordinate with gen mates to better that project.
God DAMN that’s a lot of ads
Now come to think about it, it’s quite amazing how the management problem plagued Hololive for years that somehow seems to be fixed for quite sometime now.
This made me believed how understaffed and unprepared for fame Cover was back in the days and how they worked really hard on addressing the problem.
Nice video 👍
as much as i dislike Nijisanji, cant deny that i like some of their talents
still waiting for Roa to return
i like this channel, but those other newstubers 😅
I wanna preface this by saying that I only really watch Selen these days. I think this was a pretty decent video, and I definitely agree with a lot of it. However, you got some things wrong:
– Selen clarified that the TOS was there so that she can show the outfit submissions on stream due to Japanese copyright laws, has nothing to do w/ stealing content.
– Livers get 1-3% of OVERALL COST of the merch, not 1-3% of the profit. Also, this only apply to physical merch and not VP (which you failed to mention). It was mentioned in the financial report that the profit margin is very low, so this is likely the company simply got fucked by the production cost and not because they’re greedy
Other than that, I just don’t see why stealth suspensions are bad. I think it stops situations from being blown out of proportion and actually protect the talent. Like, imagine how much worse the backlash against Millie or Zaion would have been if they came out and said ” oh yeah, we’re suspending this talent because x and y”. the schizos and drama channels would have ran with that for weeks. Hiding it behind curtains at least keeps it to just speculations.
The play button thing is so fucking minor. Literally no one would care if it wasn’t packaged together with all the other stuffs.

So, as the magic of vtubing in Niji start waning, let them do what kson did if they want to do so…….
Ummm…….
