People who know so little context to Nijisanji besides NijiEN pretending to be super informative on this topic is always hilarious, especially when the little context that is not NijiEN you know is either outright wrong or made up by /vt/. Every time I see a video like this reminds me how this community is so doomed.
this whole thing just makes me feel bad for the Niji talents themselves, cuz not only are they (alegedly) being mistreated/mismanaged by management, but they’re now also catching flack for the issues of management being under fire
I’m more of a Hololive fan aka Korone, Okayu, Kronii, Kobo, Kiara and Botan. But when Yugo Asuma had an abrupt graduation. How they went about it, genuinely shocked me.
Khyo and FalseEyed/Things Vtuber Say Are the two sides of Vtube News: Khyo is the TMZ, Quick Acting, Gets you what you need to know, But adds A heavy dose of serialization and personal bias.
False is the C-SPAN/ old school CNN/Associated Press. Giving you breaking news while having fact checked everything, and staying neutral throughout.
30:50 I mean makes sense that the popular members who also gets the most superchats gets the most merch if Nijisanji takes 98% or however much it was 💀
MAN I HATE TWITTER FREAKS 40:20
As a person who had been consuming vtuber content since 2016, I can’t help but nod in agreement. Good research.
as a kpop fan since the golden age of 2nd gen and a vtuber fan since the end of 2021, I always go by the quote: “support the idols/talents, not the company”
I see their strategy
they hire as much talent as they can so they can generate merch
Nijisanji never emerged from being a black company, it just hid it better. My heart goes to every single liver under the company who are working so hard just for some decent respect from their own management.
is that dying light ost
The more time passes, the more I see similarities between the Nijisanji VS Hololive comparisons and the World of Warcraft VS Final Fantasy XIV ones, with Nijisanji as World of Warcraft and Hololive as Final Fantasy XIV.
First with the company managing them; how Anycolor redefined the VTuber market by focusing on live streaming instead of pre-recorded videos much like how Blizzard changed the MMO market by making WOW more casual-friendly, how Cover Corp. went in the Vtuber market expecting Hololive’s success to go as smoothly as their previous products before facing big problems causing huge damages to their brand much like how Square-Enix launched FFXIV expecting it to work just as fine as FFXI without verifying if the game was even functionnal to begin with and receiving huge backlash due to the awful state of the 1.0, …
But also how those company managed their growth; Anycolor trying to maintain their momentum and their profits even at the cost of their employees much like Activision-Blizzard neglecting their staff’s wellbeing as long as the game was profitable, Cover Corp copying the market’s leader (Nijisanji) in order to gain momentum like the FFXIV team look up to WOW’s way of doing to build a proper base for their game in order to start building their own stuff, …
Other thing I noticed is how they communicate to their fanbase; Anycolor being very ambiguous about how they operate and their staff being very discreet much like Activision-Blizzard not sharing that much about them and their staff appearing very sporadicaly, meanwhile Hololive’s CEO and managers started being much more proeminent in the company communication with the more well known gaining nicknames such as YAGOO and A-chan much like Naoki Yoshida, aka Yoshi-P, is the main spokeman for FFXIV holding live streams about future updates with member of the staff.
I don’t know if other have seen the same things or even have evidences that those parallels are not that strong but I’m really interested to hear what they have to say about it.
Catering to China is a REALLY bad thing, I respect Cover corp. for making the decision to pull out of that rotten cesspool, and Anycolor should do the same if they had any sense of decency.
Catering and placating China just leads to the CCP feeling more emboldened to fuck with the rest of the world even more than they already do.
But Anycolor only care about money, not their talents and not what’s right, so they’ll keep pushing their talents to placate the CCP.
thank you for the vid dn
Nijisanji it’s the midpoint over hololive and wactor at this point
Nijisanji sunked the moment they tried to imitate Hololive’s massive success by making an EN branch, instead of focusing on the already HUGE roster that they have in JP. Nijisanji was great when they focused on their JP branch and their JP branch only, before they made stupid decisions like creating an “Indian branch” that spoke 0 Indian and was 100% English, and creating KR, CN, and ID branches that were basically forgotten and treated as step-children, and then they decided to just mindlessly create a bunch of EN generations to follow Hololive’s path to success. It’s as if they are ASKING for drama to happen, not to mention the fact that the English side of VTubers (the actual VTubers) LOVE to create some stupid drama. Hololive lucked out when they got their first EN talents, Nijisanji just seemed like they picked anyone on twitter that has “EN VTuber” on their bio in order to catch up with Holo’s success (which is evident by Finana’s drama a while back). And now, after all of that, Hololive is thriving, with every branches in their company being a success story, even ID, which used to be the most “unpopular” branch is now extremely popular amongst the community, all while Nijisanji is dealing with some stupid drama pertaining none other than the very branch that they tried to imitate Hololive of, the EN branch. Good fucking luck with dealing with that.
Niji needs to cut their numbers and focus on the ones that matter, as heartless as that sounds. They also need to realize that with every EN talent, it’s either a hit or miss. Hit and you get someone like Gura, miss and you get some twitter addict who would damage your company’s reputation on their way out. EN is not like any other branches, they won’t just shut up if you tell them to, or follow any sort of guidelines (like maintaining professionalism, or not talking about the generic company’s secrets like salaries and the like) that they “personally feel” is wrong. This last drama is like a slap in the face for Niji, and I hope they wake up from it, or else they won’t retain their past glory.
You saying Luxiem as a whole created a parasocial relationship with fans isnt true. And i felt like i needed to say some stuff. And i would like for people to correct me if im wrong about something or if i left out something.
Shu Yamino has said that he doesn’t like it as it makes him uncomfortable and denies requests, though he hasn’t dealt with much drama about it.
Ike Eveland tries to avoid it and finds it weird and himself cringy when fans ask for it but once in awhile he’ll give service though he lets it go.
Luca Kaneshiro doesn’t really acknowledge it and he doesn’t get asked for it as often, he sometimes acts like he doesn’t know he’s giving it, though i can’t say I KNOW HE’S ACTING its just his character to act blunt. (Now that I’ve said this I do want to address that I know that they act to fit their characters. I have seen leaked videos of Luxiem’s past life and can confirm that Luca does act to play his character as a himbo.)
Mysta Rias gives fanservice many times but makes fun of his fans for wanting it, sometimes when he gives it he’ll be weird with it just for fun as many might know he really doesn’t care about hate or the company.
While Vox Akuma I can say that he does influence that weird relationship with fans, he finds himself cringy when he does ASMR for fans. But I can’t really defend Vox….
I’d be surprised if Nijisanji does stop thinking about wealth and start looking at the smaller problems it has.
Personally, I blame the CEO and the staff for it’s current state, and not the idols themselves.
From what I can tell, all of Nijisanji is basically a real life Flint heart Glomgold among idol companies.
For all we know, the Nijisanji idols will resign and the company quickly shutdown.
They try to shut khyo and false up is just making it worse
Did they not learn from the streisand effect?
11:19 can someone tell me which one is the nijisanji id/kr merge channel? All I found is the en or jp
